*WHY THE LONG FACE?* I am not a slender woman. You don't really see that much because I stick to snapshots of my face, like this one from a recent @smashboxcanada event (to showcase the brand's new crazy-lightweight full-coverage foundation). All my weight starts showing itself from my shoulders down, and congregates around my middle. But this isn't about my weight, it's about correcting that belief that "the camera adds 10 lbs." Well kids, it ISN'T the camera, it's the LENS. And iPhone camera front-facing lenses take lbs away to make my face look thinner, which of course I like, and I don’t care if that’s wrong. *grin* Ordinarily, I'd just not show you the "real camera" frames from an event, because I struggle with how they see me, but you know what? These are fun! And really, what does a few broader images matter when my primary camera is my cleverly flattering iPhone? 😏 . Makeup by the fabulous Lori Taylor (@lotayray44), global makeup pro for @smashboxcanada. Unsmiling expression is me trying not to look like I was taking a selfie out on the sidewalk. 🤪 And look, I'm wearing eyeshadow! Stay tuned for a chat with Lori about full-coverage foundation and whether eyeshadow palettes are over... . Also, the new Smashbox Studio Skin Full Coverage 24 Hour Foundation (comes in 40 shades) is SERIOUSLY weightless – I felt nothing on my skin, not even when that stupid food poisoning hit me later that night and I was too weak to remove my makeup until two days later. (No, I don't have any photos of that.) . #lenslove #lovemyiPhone #itsnotthecamera #focallength #fullcoveragefoundation #PRevent #PRsamples #ThisIs51 #Beautygeeks (at Toronto, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2PeJnIB6fw/?igshid=12nq3bv3ch5qx
