Every letter of text in the #itsnotus album design was typed on a 1939 Underwood typewriter...album title, song titles, credits, lyrics (Deluxe version) & more. No two iterations were ever the same. Every keystroke yielded a slight variation depending on the intensity of the strike and the volume of ink on the ribbon. It’s an imperfect but beautiful medium, a fitting metaphor for trying to capture musical lightning in a bottle.
