     "She's a dirty dirty dancer, dirty dirty dancer, never ever lonely," you sang the lyrics to Dirty Dancer. You heard another voice sing along to yours, you smiled knowing it was your boyfriend Dana. He hugged you from behind, "Hi," you said "Hi," he repeated. "You want to go to a party?" he asked after a while, you nodded, and he got up telling you to get ready.

     20 Minutes Later: "Where is this party being held?" you asked Dana, it felt like the two of you had been driving for hours. "The beach," he said turning the corner, you nodded glad you had worn something cool yet warm. The two of you arrived at the beach a few minutes later. You got out the car, Dana grabbed you hand has the two of you walked to the party. The weather was pretty decent, it was around 4, and the beach was filled with people. You were talking with a couple of friends at the moment, "Hallie?" a familiar voice asked. You squeezed your eyes shut knowing who was saying you name. You turned around slowly, and opened your eyes, "Hi Patrick," you said in a fake cheery voice. He embraced you in a hug, which you didn't hug back. "Listen, I know we didn't leave on good terms," he started to say, you cut him off, "Yeah, and you said I was just fling," you said. "That doesn't matter, what matter is now. And right now I want you back," he said. You let out an annoyed scoff, "Hey, you want to ge- who's this?" Dana asked. He looked at your expression, and then at Patrick.

     Later That Day: "What did he ask?" Dana asked once the two of you left Patrick. You shook your head, "It's not important," you replied, Dana grabbed your hand making you stop in your tracks. "The look on your face said something else," he said making you face him, "What did he say?" You sighed, "He wanted to get back together," you told him, Dana sighed this time, letting go of your hand. "Are you?" he asked sadly, you quickly shook your head. "The last time I saw him, his lips were attached to some girl. And we got in a huge fight afterwards," you told him. "I'm sorry," he said, rubbing your arms up, and down. "It's fine," you replied, "I found someone way better, who treats me like a princess," you said hugging him. Dana smiled, "Not like a queen?" he asked looking down at you. You laughed, "Dana you smashed a cake in my face yesterday," you said, Dana laughed, "Fair enough," he said. "Come on, they're about to start releasing the paper lanterns," he said, "And I wanna let one go," he said jumping up, and down.
