itsuko woule probably commit identity theft with the standard fake credit cards shit, partially as a desire to survive and have money and partially as a way to excert power over a world that wants her to have NONE, any way she can. kitan would do it for pure love of the game because hes still a mischevous 13yo untouched by consequence who thinks the whole world is lowkey his playground. ironically its TARO trying to rein this in and yes, there is some insane irony in taro taking on a paternal role to a child who is a) not related to him and b) doing a better job at it now than he does with ANY of his actual children. but kitan does grow up fairly well adjusted so i guess taro did ONE thing right

uh, none of them.

but also... i mean, the term median system wasn't coined until 1997 and there's one of those in the cast, and generally Things Exist Before They Have Names. so i can do better. here's the fanlore definition on the term's history and etymology:

It is a homophonous food pun on fujoshi (婦女子), meaning 'lady', ‘respectable woman’ or ‘wife’[2], created by replacing the character 婦 (pronounced "fu"), meaning married woman or lady, with the character 腐 (also pronounced "fu") meaning fermented, decayed, or spoiled. The definition of this 'spoilage' is literal, expressing "something that has become fermented and is no longer consumable in its original state". The descriptor is made in reference to a woman's perceived decrease in value by men who deemed them as 'rotten' for not upholding traditional feminine interests and for exploring queer themes, thus were unfit for marriage, [...] Fujoshi were framed as antisocial, unattractive misfits by these 2Chan users.

none of the characters are like, super into anime, and ergo wouldn't really be traditional fujoshi in the sense of Fujoing Out. HOWEVER there are in fact two characters who can embody the spirit of the Kind Of Woman the term is meant to deride, that would be itsuko and tsuguki

itsuko is very much seen as a rotten, spoilt woman. she's the audio gal for kazuo's band, and has known him the longest. she's a short-tempered, foul-mouthed lesbian who's pretty mean to everyone around her. she kind of doesn't get where the line between "friendly ribbing" and "holy shit that's so cruel don't say that" is, and is pretty awful at emotional intimacy so she can't keep a girlfriend. the femcel to meiji's incel. HOWEVER, due to her status as an Outsider, and her derision for affluents and their culture, to the point of being pretty cruel to kazuo for falling in love with a rich man and mocking his hopeful take on it, she doesn't fully embody the trope. mostly, but not fully. its like... YES she embodies it, but this embodiment isn't central to her character or arc, because she doesn't care about impressing these people or getting married to a man in the slightest. all the girls she gets with are similarly trashy punk girls, she does NOT care about wether or not she's "rotten" and even wears it as a badge of pride

TSUGUKI on the other hand, is different. i haven't ironed out the specifics of her story yet (some of the characters are very very fleshed out, some are Kind Of fleshed out but i can do better, some have incomplete stories or backstories, and a couple of them are still in the "you have good bones but i need to step up" stage. just part of The Process vis a vis outlining) BUT i have outlined her general character traits

she's part of The Affluents in that she very very much wants to be a part of their society.... but consistently fails at it. she's kind of like taro, with one important caveat: she is not from the most prominent old money family to date, so she "gets away with it" less than taro does. (kind of. she's a weird mix of taro and ahi komaeda) she's kind of not put together, antisocial, shy, nervous around people, and can be REALLY creepy and weird at points when she's trying to be sympathetic, like... wait ok hold on i can show you ONE little snippet of script that is written bc im like 95% sure this is gonna be in the final game

she's trying to be sympathetic here. she is actually hand to god trying to empathize with the person she's talking to. another part of her story is that she's one of the older people there, unmarried, and (im still workshopping this, so im like. on the fence about it so it might not be in the game) sucking up to tokuichi to get in his good graces. she's also at least somewhat into women, and is not good at hiding it. and all of these factors contribute to her reputation as a failed, broken woman whos only worth is sex and not marriage and god forbid children, she might pass it on!

its not the best answer because tsu is one of the characters in the most need of workshopping (rn im focusing on her, towa, and one other character) but its. something!
