I’m not used to drawing in a cartoon style, so he started out as a really rough placement sketch.  Here it is:  

(Couldn’t make the picture lighter-- those faint lines would disappear.)  

After that is the pencil outline phase:  

A few things got changed after this, but here’s when he was around ready for the application of ballpoint.  I didn’t take a picture of the pen outline before shading, so next is materials used!  

They are (almost) in order of application.  I used a pencil on the sharper side for the outline and then went over it in ballpoint.  The initial pencil outline was then erased.  Ballpoint got used for part of the shading, and then I used some art pens to fill in the black of Uzume’s pants and half-socks, as well as that bit of sleeve visible on his forearm.  One of the pens has a fine point for going around the edges, and the other is better for filling in the middle.  The second of the two pencils shown is dull, making it good for non-scratchy pencil shading.  I applied it last.  

...And that’s how it went, I guess.  Art ramble over!
