I like it because Ruki and Yang’s relationship is among those ones I should treat more.Starting from when Yang is a child, I suppose Ruki will slowly develop a tender spot for our Chinese boy. During their first meetings, Yang will be scared by Ruki a lot. Since he has heard from Makoto about her short temper and her past as a Digimon Tamer, he’ll keep on stuttering so much he won’t even manage to introduce himself properly (Itsuki does that ahahah), and Ruki will immediately think he’s really lame, one of those kids who can’t even stand straight. However, she’ll change her mind, when she gets to know about Yang’s family’s situation: she’ll find herself thinking it’s too similar to hers and seeing Yang under a new light, since she does know what not having an united family is like. Therefore, she starts trying to talk to him more often, telling him about her past as a motorcrosser and pointing out he’s very nimble at riding his bycicle.“If only he was more impertinent and courageous, just like Makoto,” She would repeat herself so many times.Ruki won’t even manage to keep her mouth shut, whenever something related to his family comes up. Has his father really come to talk to Jen and Takato from who knows where after an eternal while? Her punch is ready, and she won’t care if Jen tries to stop her.-Su Wen: “I don’t know what to do! We have been looking for him since this morning. I just hope your children knows what’s happening…”Jen and Takato: “…”Ruki * stepping forward and glaring at him in a threatining way*: “Maybe finally he has realised what a filthy family he has got! We’ll find a solution to the problem.” *Looking at Yang’s father*: “Isn’t it possible that you’ve upset Yang somehow?”Su Wen: We have decided not to allow him to ride his-“Ruki gives him a punch onto the nose.Ruki: “It makes me sick knowing you go along only about these stupid matters!”-Ruki and Itsuki will have been hoping he will follow Ruki’s footsteps for a long time, because Ruki can clearly see he would shine at motocrossing. Therefore, when he reaches high school, she begins giving him serious advices about the topic.Still during his teenage years, Ruki is the one who realises Yang may have developed a crush on her daughter, and this, so unlikely for her, makes her heart throb because of the joy, also because she is aware Itsuki won’t refuse him. Ruki appreciates how much Yang has given, when Itsuki’s coach dies; she feels safe, if they are together, even though it’s blatant Yang is shy and not so brave. Nevertheless, things go differently and Itsuki falls into the trick of beginning dating her ice skating partner. Ruki is upset by her, since she has always thought her daughter was a proud girl, and not one of those chics who fall in love with whoever could show them to be cool and strong. It’s heartbreaking for her to understand Yang is disappointed and down because of her own daughter, even though he really hasn’t properly figured out why he’s feeling in that way.Finally, it comes adulthood and, even though Yang has chosen to follow into his father’s footsteps, Ruki will willingly check his motorbike. Sometimes, she will also challenge him and would end up saying he would have been a great motorcrosser again. Once more, Ruki will find herself cheering her daughter up, whenever she struggles to convey her feelings to the young man, after having realized dating Daiki has been her biggest mistake. Ruki will try to explain her it’s not Yang’s fault if his heart isn’t used to receiving affection and that strong kind of love; what matters the most, she tells her, it’s not giving up and keeping on fighting proudly, regardless of the outcome. Every advice of hers and every conversation about love between mother and daughter will be hidden from Jenrya, of course (XD), until the announcement comes: Yang and Itsuki are going to get married and…Problems come. Firstly, they just start joking about getting married, and they already understand it’s not going to be easy judging by Jen’s reaction, which pisses Ruki A LOT. “He has run me! Your husband! He has run your husband! How could you forget about this?! Now we should really let him enter our family?!” Fortunately, like I said before, Ruki will convince him about the fact Yang is the best husband Itsuki could ever find, and, needless to tell you about this once more, Jen won’t be able to bring himself to hide his endless love for the fruit of their wedding.PSA: Lol at Jen asking Ruki he didn’t remember they had adopted a son, and Ruki giving him a slight punch like always. After all, it’s true Yang is the son she has never had.

Am I rude if I say Yang is so fucking hot as an adult? That chapter made me fall in love with him and the design drives me crazy. Who wouldn' t want a stud with a beard, who can ride motorbikes, who wears fucking military jackets, who 's a pilot and smokes?

Anon, you’re another one who’s making me laugh hard. I’m glad people like Yang’s older design but I never thought a person could find him hot ahahah.I don’t know what to say, Anon, as well as Yang, who’s more than speechless XD. However, Itsuki agrees with you: she says Yang is hot in his own way, with his goat-like appearance and his always tired eyes, which hide his deepest dreams of freedom. Oh well, he has got his motorbike to feel a bit of that.

It will be a pervert though of mine, but if I were Yang I would have got a crush on Ruki. She is a sex bomb mother and my fourteen/seventeen year old self would get crazy at a woman being so close to me. I would fucking wish I was older.

Anon, there’s a part of my being that’s laughing hard and it’s about to cry, because “wtf?!” However, another part of me supposes hormones can do lots of things to the brain of teenagers. Therefore, it won’t be so strange if he innocently gets a crush on her at some point, also because even these weird crushes help us grow.

I feel bad for Yang a lot and for Itsuki too and I like you called the unfit for this world. Yang needs a bit of love and I’m sure Itsuki will give it to him. I’ve loved everything of the story: the dialogues (I laugh at the Makoto Yang relationship ahhaha) felt so real with your descriptions!

So will they have a cat when they’re oldee? Itsuki seems to like cats

Itsuki likes cats because Yang likes them. I want to underline this fact, because, you see, Itsuki is a big and huge bunny lover, instead XD. Anyway, Yang will stay a cat lover even when he’s a grown up, and will keep cats even when Itsuki and him get their own beautiful traditional house (Jen, you can cry as much as you want, but Itsuki won’t live with you two anymore).

Moreover, when they start living together, Yang will be able to keep his cats’ kittens too, without being forced to sell them like he used to do unwillingy, when he was younger.

I believe Itsuki and Yang will spend certain nights coming up with the names to give to the newly born kittens and, obviously, his names will always be defeated by Itsuki’s strange ones. The story will continue even when they’re parents and Yang gets so upset, discovering what silly names they have given to the cats.

Yay, finally a happy scenario and question! Let’s see…I totally think a cute and joyful scenario would be “Yang and Itsuki’s secret pastime”, which used to be “Yang’s and only Yang’s pastime”. You aready know Yang is a cat lover, right? He loves cats and he’s so glad at least his mother didn’t complain about getting a cat at their house; actually, the Wen family has always kept cats at home. However, the situation flew off hand, when Yang started rescuing stray cats from the streets of Beijing and then Tokyo: his mother could never accept one of her children always did something so humiliating-that was her opinion about what her son always did-. She already couldn’t stand listening to what their new neighbours said about his bold way to ride bycicles! Fortunately for the boy, the woman never discovered he kept his own blog thanks to which he managed to find kind owners for the poor kittens…And she could have never imagined Yang did sell them too, in the middle of the street, with his usual large hood covering his head not to be recognized. Nevertheless, nothing about Yang can be ignored by Itsuki, so she understood he didn’t only rescue those stray cats, but he also would try to sell them, whenever the blog didn’t show itself useful.Obviously, the girl began repeating how Yang was so pure, gentle, a boy from past times…And eventually she convinced Yang to let her help him sell the kittens, even if it was raining and there were storms roaring in the sky. Furthermore, Itsuki was “the more active” one between them and she kept on attempting to persuade some passer-by: she cared about the kittens and she wanted them to be treated with love by a true family. Maybe, it was during those days that Yang understood the value of smiles.

Say Miss Zura, what would be the saddest Yang x Itsuki scenario you could ever come up with?

This is pretty difficult, Anon, you’ve got me, but it makes me remember of a silly scenario I invented, when I was a bit younger and I was enchanted by the idea of making Jenrya and Ruki’s child a sort of magical girl (I was in love with anime like “Madoka Magica” or “Pretty Cure” at that time). Basically, during those times Tear Jumpers weren’t even in my brain, I wanted to write about an Itsuki, who’s totally unaware about Digimon, since her parents never talk about them; she just knows about these legendary Digimon Tamers her classmates often talks about. Then, after a while, when she’s maybe 10 or 12, while she’s coming back home, she meets Terriermon, which doesn’t know she’s his former partner’s daughter. So,Itsuki and Terriermon starts meeting everyday at the Shinjuku Park. Sometimes she will bring Terriermon some onigiri and share some information about their very different lives. Their meetings are peaceful and joyful, until they find themselves into a very dangerous situations. Itsuki doesn’t really know what to do, how to fight against a Digimon and a very evil human (I don’t remember if I wanted the humans to make Digimon evil or viceversa), and Terriermon realises they are finished. Unfortunately, the girl and the Digimon are dragged into a frozen lake or something like that, and they would have obviously died, if Renamon’s soul (Renamon didn’t manage to come back from Digiworld) hadn’t saved them and hadn’t given Itsuki a bit of her power, letting her survive. This is how Itsuki gains the ability of turning herself into her older self (and she’s very startled) and decides to dress up as a Sakuyamon in the middle of the night, using her new strength along with Terriermon to defeat those possessed folks.What is the sad scenario? Well, premising Atsuko and Makoto are still her classmates, she meets Yang, who is an adult in this world (yeah, yeah, Anon, an adult, along with Naomi and Kou) and is an universitary student, who’s also trying to find out information about those strange accidents that are happening in Tokyo. Since I love making Yang’s life a Heaven, in this world (let’s say fucked up AU) he is very unlucky with women and, as you can imagine, he will also be unlucky with this awesome, clumsy and mysterious woman who always helps him during nights and he eventually falls in love with. Yeah, I don’t know how his heart would be spared, since Itsuki is a child in truth.
