13 Days of iCarly

I'm late, I know. So I'll do Day 1 right now, and since I already know this particular post is going to be long, I'll try to cram two days in tomorrow :). 

Day 1. When/why did you start watching?

I started watching iCarly religiously about a month before iOMG came out. Prior to that, I had seen it randomly on TV, but never really paid all that much attention to it.

Funny thing is, I do have one memory about iCarly before I got really into it. I remember seeing the promo for iThink They Kissed and thinking "SAM AND FREDDIE KISSED? DON'T THEY HATE EACH OTHER? I KNEW IT!" Now at that point in time, I'm not even sure if I had seen a full episode...like EVER. So how I knew Sam & Freddie hated each other...and inferred that they secretly loved each other...is beyond me. I guess I was just always meant to ship Seddie.

Anyhoo that experience happened right before iTTK came out...but I never watched the episode. Years passed, and I'd randomly think about that promo and wonder if those kids were "still dating." Then about a month before iOMG came out, I was unemployed and kind of depressed. The only things that were keeping me somewhat happy were Tumblr and Twitter. One day I randomly found the Bickering Sidekicks forum (I think through Tumblr). I started to read the iOMG thread and was FASCINATED. I realized that those two crazy kids in fact, NEVER dated at all, and were still convinced they hated each other. Um what?? 

Anyway the thread was AWESOME - all of this beautiful character development...and this huge mystery regarding this "secret episode." The fandom immediately pulled me in. That first night I found the board, I read EVERY PAGE of the iOMG thread (and there were over 300), I don't know how on Earth I did that...but obviously everyone's excitement was that contagious. :) It almost felt meant to be. I needed something to pull me out of my funk...and this random promo that has always intrigued me from years past...all these ideas I had about this show I never really knew...they were all coming to light RIGHT THEN. It was just too exciting to pass up.

Once I was caught up on the forum, I started watching iCarly like crazy and speculating about iOMG along with everyone else. It was so nice to be excited about something and have something to look forward to. iCarly honestly helped me so much back then. Finally when iOMG came out...I just about died. It was beautiful and I was beyond hooked. And since then it's been history.

For all my Seddier followers, this is one of my favorite Seddie videos.  It's just the main plot of iTTK (no Spencer in prison) put to music.  I don't really know why, but I just love it.
