♪ - do you play any instruments?
-I took piano classes as a kid, but my last teacher managed to kill all my interest in playing, and I quit when I was 13-14. Haven’t played anything for a long time.
♫-Do you listen to music when you write? If yes, what kind of music, if not, why no? (I think this was the “eighth note symbol”?)
-I’m quite sensitive to sounds in my environment, particularly when doing work that requires my brain handling words. It’s easier without. However, if I need to drown out things (like my husband talking on whatever VoIP he uses when gaming- this is happening now) it is always instrumental- no lyrics- and something that does not really change and I can eventually ignore. I have now written one reply and a few answers and and am an hour into listening to a 10-hour mix on youtube. (It is the song of my people, if you will.)These 10-hour mixes actually get quite a lot of playtime with me.
