Lessee I’ve gotta have like five billion facts about her at this point–
1. Aila’s full name is Aila Aurum (since I’m still looking for a middle name I feel fits), but she changed her last name from Gladium when she was about 16 to distance herself from her family. Due to this, people didn’t realize she and her brother were siblings until she called him ‘bro’.
2. This was accentuated by the fact that, until Aila was almost 17, nobody knew she was a Faunus (including herself) and therefore she and her brother were entirely different species.
3. None of this matters now, since her brother is dead.
4. And that’s entirely Aila’s fault.
5. Aila’s childhood dream was to be a huntress and protect people, and was training from an incredibly early age to do so. She actually forced her way into the hunter academy way earlier than they were supposed to accept her (she was 9, when the usual acceptance age was 12 to 16), since she was so annoying and persistent that they just gave up. She was also the school’s earliest graduate, due to her both excelling and being incredibly difficult to work with, and graduated at the age of 16.
6. Aila, after finding out she was a Faunus (her trait being feline vocal chords), practiced a bunch and can now make a bunch of cat noises. She tends to purr either with someone she’s very close to, or when very injured. (Fun fact, cats often purr when injured)
7. Aila means light, and Aurum is Latin for gold, so Aila’s name ironically means ‘golden light’.
8. Aila’s hair is naturally platinum blonde, which makes her dyed hair much easier to maintain.
9. Aila is… incredibly vain. Her morning routine is probably like an hour long I swear?? She has perfect makeup at nearly all times though and perfectly neat hair and probably redoes her nail polish every three days (especially since punching people geeeenerally chips that), and probably definitely uses fake lashes and a push-up bra and all that good stuff.
10. Continuing off that, despite how much Aila is focused on her good looks (and I mean, hey, she IS really pretty), she hasn’t exactly got… great 'assets’ and probably stuffs her bra or something lmao
