A Pleasant End to an Exhausting Day (closed rp with runaway-maidxn)
The charming prince was just returning to his castle, exhausted after a long day of work. He had to conduct business dealings with a few high-ranking merchants in the village. Truly, it was not actually much work, but it was more than he would have liked and it was paperwork, one of the most monotonous types of work.
He wiped his forehead as he stepped into the castle. He took a minute of just standing in the entrance before bringing himself to ascend the lengthy staircase to his bedroom. He had expected his wife to be already deep in sleep, but instead she was just starting to pull the covers for her body to fit in.
“You’re a beautiful sight for my tired eyes to see” said the prince “what has you up so late?”
