Phil grinned again "something like that" he mumbled before turning around and leaving for the coffee shop. Not able to prohibit his urge to turn around and look at the strange foreign man. Without stopping he dared a glance back and realized that Ivan hadn´t moved yet, still standing like a statue where they had said good bye. He shook his head in disbelieve of what he was actually doing. Buying a coffee for someone he barely knew, well not buying, bringing. It didn´t made the situation any better. He froze in the middle of his thought. He had no idea how Vanko actually liked his coffee. He allowed himself to spin some crazy theories about how Ivan actually enjoyed his coffee with a lot of sugar and milk. The complete opposite of his external appearance that made him so inaccessible for most of the students and even teachers on campus. Phil resumed his walk, still thinking about which of all the possibilities was the most probable. He could just buy several types and hope to get the right one, but something inside Phil was preying on his mind to get the right one without guessing.
As he finally reached the closest coffee shop he had made a decision. Fortunately the line was short and Phil had the two coffees within minutes. The walk back to the labs where he knew Vanko spent most of his time wasn´t long. He knocked to times on the open door and peeked inside "One coffee? black for Mr. Snowman?" Phil considered so incredibly funny for this little joke he had made and couldn´t suppress the grin on his face.
