Classical conditioning aka Pavlovian respondent conditioning. Something presenting so clearly the procedure of linking one unconditioned stimulus to a unconditioned response via a neutral stimulus which is controlled. In Ivan Pavlov’s case; the act of repeatedly ringing a bell (neutral stimulus) and providing food (conditionally) eventually led to the response of salivation when the bell was rung, regardless of whether the food came or not after, the dog now had a natural unconditioned response to salivate after the bell was rung in order to prepare for the receiving of food that it had learnt came shortly after the bell. This theory represents a very fine line between the art of nature vs nurture.
