"ALWAYS A BETTER DAY"
by Ivan Roque
Raised in Miami's infamous Carol City neighborhood, Ivan J. Roque has "a passion for the concepts of birth, death, renewal, and social struggles." Still in his 20s Roque has already worked for an impressive list of brands, collaborated with musicians, and painted alongside A-list artists. Roque has traveled extensively, painting and exhibiting his work in places like NYC, Dubai, and South Korea, and in 2018 added this work at Desire St and St Claude Ave in New Orleans. With @NOLAMuralProject advocacy for changing the city's street art policies and fee structure, creating a more inviting environment for artists, Roque created this tribute to the roll of the catfish across the south, and says the vines represent the "connection between all living things." A much needed reminder today more than ever that there's "Always a Better Day." @ivanjroque/
