Ivar’s jaw was clenched painfully tight that Ubbe thought he was going to crack a tooth or two. Jealousy burning his veins as he watched the scene before him. Hvitserk was playing with fire and he knew it, Ivar knew it, everyone in the Great Hall knew it, not that he cared as he continued to dance with Ivar’s queen.
You didn’t see a problem with having fun and have a dance with your brother in law, however your husband clearly thought differently, his blunt nails digging into the wooden arms of his throne, it wasn’t until he banged his crutches down loud enough to catch the attention from everyone in the room - without saying a word he walked out.
That was your queue to follow.
Bidding goodbye to Hvitserk and thanking him for a wonderful night, you made your way towards your shared chambers, twisting the lace of your dress nervously as you pushed the door open. “Husband.”
“Husband? I’m surprised you remembered.” He muttered as he unlanced his braces. “You were all over him tonight.”
“I-I was-”
“All over him! My brother.”
Flinching at his tone, you lowered her head. “It was a dance, nothing more. I promise.”
“He was all over you.”
“It was a dance Ivar I swear.” Carefully shuffling closer to him, to nervous of his reaction, when he didn’t react to your action you knelt down in front of him. “I was just having fun, I’m sorry.”
Raising his hand, he smoothed your hair out of your face - loving the way the soft strands felt against his rough fingers. “He wants to fuck you.”
“Don’t be silly.” The glare he gave you took the smile straight off of your lips. “I do not want him, I swear.”
“You are mine.”
“Yours, and yours only.” It was true, you didn’t want any other man, it was always Ivar from the moment you saw him one day in the market. He was sat on the steps leading up to the Great Hall, a scowl on his face as he watched people walk around, standing by your fathers stall as he spoke to a customer you couldn’t take your eyes off of the man. From that day on, you kept a look out for him, when you saw him crawling around you didn’t even find it weird or funny - not like your father. It took you nearly three months to gather the courage to speak to him, finding him sat on the beach on his own, you were a stuttering mess - only getting worse when he told you he was one of the princes of Kattegat, but from there a friendship was formed between the two of you. He told you several months later that when he became king he wanted you by his side as his wife and queen, at first you thought he was joking but his face said otherwise. When the brothers and the Great Heathen Army went to England to avenge king Ragnar’s death, Ivar made sure he took you with him, against the wishes from his brothers, whilst over there you two got married and from that moment he called you queen. “I love you and only you, Ivar.”
His only reaction was to pout. The ruthless, fearless Ivar the Boneless sat there on the bed he shared with his wife pouting. “You could if you want.”
“Could what, my love?”
“Have him, or-or anyone.” He whispered, twisting your wedding ring around. “It can not be easy with being married to a cripple.”
“I do not wish, want or need anyone else Ivar. I am happy, I am loved- you do love me d-”
“Don’t even think about finishing that sentence! You know I love you.”
“And you know I love you.” Turning you hand around, linking your fingers with his. “Please never ever doubt me.”
“I didn’t like the way he was holding you.”
“We were just dancing Ivar.”
“Still don’t like it.” He huffed. “Only I get to touch you.”
“Yes, only you get to touch me.” Lifting up and walking over to the vanity you removed the heavy crown that was given to you by Ivar, you began to attempt to undo your dress.
“Want a hand, my love?”
“Please.”
“Come here then my beautiful queen.” Standing between his legs, your skin began to tingle as he fingers danced along your bare skin. Turning around as the dress pooled around your ankles, his hands went straight to your naked waist. “I love you.”
“And I love you.” Climbing into bed after helping Ivar undress, he instantly pulled you closer to him and wrapped his arms around you. “Ivar?”
“Yes, my love?”
“I like it when your jealous.”
He huffed, rolling his eyes. “I’m never jealous.”
“No, of course not.” Giggling at the memories of all the times Ivar threatened and even killed men who looked at you longer than he deemed necessary, doing it all out of jealousy. “The great Ivar the boneless doesn’t get jealous.”
Rolling his eyes once again with a soft smile tugging at his lips as your giggles filled the room. “Shut up and go to sleep.”

Her heart was beating faster than a hummingbird's wings. Breath coming out in soft pants, he was angry again.
It was always scary when he was angry. But a quieter, deeper part of her whispered. It feels better too.
Shut up. She wouldn't let that part of her have any more of a voice than it already did.
Ever since she was born, the other half of The Boneless monster, her existence had been worshipped and praised. The child seemed to bring life and joy back into Kattegat.
While Ivar withered beneath his deformity, she blossomed under the affection and attention as the only living daughter of Ragnar Lothbrok.
Every single one of her brothers served as her guard, never leaving her alone in all her time alive. Even Ivar, as irate as he was with the world, could never bring himself to ever turn his rage towards his twin sister.
His beautiful, perfect little sister. All of 8 minutes more in the womb had saved her from the same malformations that plagued him. But he could never blame her, no, that was a rage for the gods.
When they were little, Ivar insisted that he never leave her side. He'd scream and throw rocks at whoever tried to take her from him, spitting venom about vengeance and blood eagling.
So they slept in the same bed, bathed in the same tub, and ate from the same plate.
When they were little, it was cute. Sweet, how close they were. How protective Ivar was.
As they got older, it became dangerous. The first time Aslaug tried to move her daughter into the new room they had built for her, she witnessed the extent of her favourite son's rage.
Ivar had razed the room to the ground, setting fire to the annex and nearly burning the great hall with it.
Ragnar dragged Ivar to the edge of the forest and beat the rage out of him, but the venom remained.
The people began to talk. Whispers about the relationship between the twins, that it wasn't as pure or sweet as it seemed.
It enraged Ragnar and Aslaug, but Ivar would not help the rumours. In fact, the first time word reached his ears, he smiled a grin big and wide.
"Maybe now they'll never send you away from me, hmm?"
So it was no surprise that when Ivar took the throne, he'd made his baby sister sit by his side. The darling princess of his kingdom.
Now, though, he was angry. Darling sister or not, he would not relent if anyone got in his way.
Apparently, a raid had gone wrong, and Ivar had lost some men; his temper would not calm in the face of this loss.
So she waited in his chambers, reading by the window, as she heard the shouting and crashing of furniture as the king threw his tantrum.
"Sister?"
At the door stood Ivar, chest heaving and eyes burning. Wordlessly, she set her book down and opened her arms, smiling sweetly.
She expected a hug, maybe his hands would slide dangerously low, but nothing she hadn't already expected from her dear brother.
But he pounces on her, before she can blink, the air rushing out of her lungs as she realises that he's kissing her.
He's kissing her like he's drowning and she's the last bit of oxygen he's clawing for, all teeth and tongue and violence. The only way Ivar really knows how to love.
It hurts her, draws blood from her pretty, plush lips, but she sighs into it all the same. This was her Ivar; the pain was pleasure in her haze-mind.
His tongue probed deep into her mouth, hands tugging and yanking at her clothing, ripping the fabric when his frustration bubbled over.
He shoved her down onto the bed, face into the pillows and pulled her hips up in the air.
Usually, he offered his baby sister some gentleness, tonguing her and coaxing a few orgasms out of her before driving into her.
But now all he saw was red, and gentleness was the furthest thing from his mind.
He spat roughly on her, but it was barely needed. The display had brought a burning into her chest, and she was slick with want already.
She looked back at him, coy and sweet, the picture of innocence in the most vulgar position. Ivar grinned back, eyes dark and glinting in the candlelight.
He rammed into her in one full thrust, seating himself in her all the way to the hilt. The moan she let out was low and desperate. The pain awakened her senses in a way nothing else could.
See, most of Kattegat thought that the princess was too sweet for Ivar. The goodness in the womb had all but been absorbed by her, leaving him empty and angry at the world.
But what they had not realised was that she was as much of the darkness as Ivar was. They were two halves of a dangerous soul, one that was damned from the start.
As he drove into her relentlessly, setting a pace so brutal it punched the air from her lungs. She keened into the fabrics of the bed, her peak rising like a flame being fed, growing higher and higher.
Coiling his hand into her hair, Ivar pulled her up into his arms, forcing her to arch her back almost painfully and breathed deep into her hair.
"You are mine, forever."
Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as Ivar's cockhead speared into that spongy spot repeatedly, driving her half-mad with pleasure.
Her peak crashed upon her in waves, as she shivered and trembled in Ivar's arms. Moaning loud and airy, so that half the hall would have heard her by now.
She was his, till the end of time. But he also belonged to her, wholly and completely.
As he pressed apologetic kisses into the nape of her neck, she smiled lazily at her brother and knew;

A couple of months later.
You had forgotten the sound of your own giggle the past year. However, those two last months were enough to prove you wrong and remind you that you still contained the ability to feel happy and laugh — finally.
“You can’t be serious!” You exclaimed laughing at your friend Torvi. There had been a long time since you last met each other. Actually, the last time you saw her was before your wedding.
A wedding that never really happened because Ivar decided to take you away. He had confessed that he loved you that same day as well. You could recollect the memory as it was yesterday.
Flashback – Two months ago.
“It’s not what you believe, (Y/N). It wasn’t just revenge for me. You mean a lot to me. You know I am just not good at saying those things and you, also, know that I can be dickhead sometimes. Don’t cry for me. I - I care for you.”
Ivar had said and kissed you like his life was depending on this kiss – like both of your life were depending on this kiss.
“Don’t get married, you don’t deserve being treated like that. Dump that asshole.”
You needed to hear these words back then – you needed a motive to stop that madness. After all, you didn’t love Mason, but Ivar.
You didn’t treat Mason right, so leaving him before this mistake would be the only thing you would do to save him from being miserable next to you – because of you.
“I won’t, Ivar.”
“You are mine.”
“I am yours.”
End of flashback.
“Oh, I’m and that’s not even the end of it.” Torvi continued speaking and got you out of your thoughts about that particular day. “Your mother was about to kill Hvitserk when he announced that Ivar had stolen you – those were the exact words he used.” She laughed. "Besides you know the love your mother contains for Hvitserk." You both laughed at her remark.
It was well-known that your mother loathed the sons of Ragnar – especially Hvitserk. She would call him peccant or sinful. Generally, she would criticize his way of living. Not that Ivar was her favourite brother though, but Hvitserk worked as a red flag for her.
You could picture your mother's face after hearing Hvitserk announcing that the wedding was over because you run away with his brother. You were sure long before Torvi told you about the events of that evening that she was furious – that was the main reason you hadn't even tried to contact her since then.
"What about Mason?" You hesitated to say his name after the way you treated him, though he wasn't honest to you either – as he lied to you about the events of the past and blamed Ivar about his doing.
Anyways, you felt guilt of your own lies, because you acted the very same way you accused Ivar of when you walked away on him.
"Oh well, I heard that he is fine though he and the boys are distant after what happened. He blames them for helping Ivar. Anyways, Ubbe told me that Ivar mentioned that he is after Freydis again."
You could understand the way Mason felt, but you couldn't focus on this after some names were mentioned successively.
"Ivar?" You muttered before you could stop yourself.
"Yes, Freydis told him."
You felt jealous once again about the same thing – you were back to the beginning of this messed up story. You felt weird after everything that happened the last two months in contrast with what Torvi just told you. Maybe you were just overreact, but still you couldn't bear lose again.
Maybe your love wasn't the healthiest one , but it was strong enough to swallow you if he hurt you like he did previously.
"Don't tell me you are jealous." Torvi said smiling after receiving no response from you.
"I'm not jealous of her." You fought back and she chuckled. It was too obvious that you were lying.
"You didn't really tell me what happened with Ivar after you left." She mentioned and you smiled at the memory.
Flashback – Two months ago.
Your heart was full after a very long time it felt half without him. You felt happy again being close to the person who you loved the most. Probably this wasn't the best way to come back together – not even close to be honest – but what was worth it for you was the fact that you were sitting on the passenger's seat of his car and he was on the driver's seat taking you away somewhere that only he knew.
Nobody spoke a word though – an awkward silence was surrounding the car. You didn't know what to say – you didn't know whether you had to say something or not. You knew Ivar by heart and yet you couldn't predict what was inside his head. You knew when he was mad, happy or sad, but you couldn't say what was bothering him.
"Ivar." You breathed and turned your eyes at his figure. "Do-do you love me?" Your voice was barely coming out as a whisper. It was a silly question to ask – even after he crashed your wedding and told you that he cared for you – you wanted to hear him saying this particular word. You hadn't heard him saying it – at least not to you.
"What kind of question is that? Didn't I told that I care for you less than an hour ago?" You could say by hearing the tone of his raised voice that he was getting annoyed by your question. You were aware of the fact that he wasn't good with words – especially this kind of words, but you wanted to hear him saying just for once.
"Why is it so difficult for you to say it again? Tell me, do you love me, Ivar?" You raised your voice out of frustration. You couldn't understand the reason why it had to be that hard for him to tell you about his feelings.
The possibility that he didn't feel that way came in your mind. Maybe he was just possessive when it came to you or it could be obsession the feeling he contained for you. Those could be the actual reasons why he couldn't express his love fore and that would be because it was non-existent.
"Yes!" Ivar yelled with obvious anger at you and hit his hands on the wheel.
"Yes, what?" You pressured him more as you were angry and disappointed at the time because of his inability to express himself to you – the person he was supposed to love.
Ivar hit the brake pedal so forcefully that if you weren't wearing the seatbelt you would be out of the car when it stopped. You turned your face at him and he had already focused his furious blue eyes on you.
"No, Ivar, you don't." With those last words you stormed out of his car and started walking at the opposite way from the one he was driving on. Though, you didn't get to make it far away because his hand grabbed yours tightly and forced you to turn back and face his wrath.
"What do you think you are doing? And what the Hel are you saying?" He growled on your face as you were trying to break-free from his grip to no avail.
You breathed heavily and looked his angry face.
"All you feel about me is some kind of authority and possessiveness as I'm one of your belongings." You spoke and motioned on your hand he was holding firmly. "The worst part of it is that it isn't even new to me to get this treatment from you. You don't love me, because you don't know how to and that's due to the fact that you feel that you don't deserve the love the others are trying to give you. The only thing you know how to do is hurting these people with your childish behaviour." You continued telling him with tears falling from your eyes – tears that you wiped away with your free hand.
Ivar was looking you without speaking, he was just looking at you quite shocked. Behind his anger you could spot guilt and redeem. He knew himself that you were right and that was the most painful part for both of you.
"The next one who will come in your life and try to give you the love you deserve let her." After these words, more tears threatened to fall from your eyes. You grabbed your gown on the palms of both of your hands and took a couple of tiny steps believing that Ivar would let you walk away from him – from his life.
However, such a thing didn't happen because he used the hand of yours he was gripping and pulled back – this time he held you closer to him your bodies were touching. You tried to fight back again, but he was too strong for you in such way that when he pulled you the lacework of your dress was ripped.
This time he even stopped holding your hand and he went for your throat. His grip was as tight or strong as it was on your hand, but it was firm enough to pull your face closer to his.
"Too late for that." Ivar said in raspy voice. "There is someone who has already made my heart beat for her – who have made me feel all of the things you've said before. I didn't know how it felt to be truly loved by somebody because of the problem I faced. I thought everyone pitied me – the poor cripple – until you came. You saw me what love really means – what it is – and I sent you away. When our paths crossed again, I thought that all I felt for you was just lust or possessiveness for a woman who used to be my partner. However, I got hold of my feelings – of my true feelings – after our first kiss in the bowling alley, when I called you to come to that bar to tell you about my conflict with Mason and after we got drunk and went to my house and slept together, remember? In fact, all this was just an excuse because I wanted to see you."
When he finished, Ivar let go off you throat and one of his hands touched your arm as the other when on one of his pockets. His touch was really genuine on your hand.
"I remember." You mumbled and smiled as you remembered that particular night you spent together.
"You want me to tell you that I love you, but you know that I'm difficult with words. Though, for you, I'll say it, but before I have to do something else." Ivar stopped and afterwards his hand got out of his pocket holding a red-whine velvet box.
You looked first at the box shocked and then at Ivar.
"Ivar, you don't have to do that just to prove your words to me." You tried to say, but he stopped you by taking your hand in his, after he opened the small box. As you expected, it contained a ring, but it was not just a random ring he picked. It was the ring you had told him years ago that you wanted to be the one you would be proposed with. It was a unique design which you couldn't find easily, but he did for you.
"I love you." Ivar finally confessed and you could even spot a tear on his cheek. His forehead touched your own as he eyes found yours. "Will you marry me, (Y/N) (Y/L/N)?" He asked and you smiled widely.
At the sound of his words, you felt your heart hitting your chest with just force that it was going to rip out of your body.
"Yes! Yes, I will marry you, Ivar Lothbrok!" You exclaimed and kissed him passionately. This kiss wasn't like anything you had experienced. It was different from any other you had shared. One that both of you were expressing within it your deepest feelings about the other person.
When you stopped, Ivar pulled you closer to him again and placed the ring on your finger.
End of flashback.
After that moment that you would never forget about, you spent two months away from everyone you knew. It was just the two of you in the middle of nowhere. However, you had to return back in Kattegat to face the real life and what came after the decisions you made.
Ivar's family welcomed you back and they were glad to hear about your engagement – though they could see it coming. They knew better that you two about the feelings you shared.
So, there you were, talking with Torvi about the days that came after your almost-wedding with Mason.
Torvi looked at you with narrowed eyes and a huge smile on her face.
"And after this you are still jealous? You are crazy girl!" Torvi exclaimed and both of you laughed again. "No, I am being serious now." She said and you both burst into laughter again. "No, seriously now you are getting married with the love of your life!" You smiled and looked back at your feet.
"And that's not even the end of it."
"What do you mean?" Your friend asked confused and your smile became even more wider than it was already. "(Y/N)?" She asked you again anxiously this time.
As an answer, your hand moved on your stomach and you caressed it meaningful. In Torvi's face formed a smile identical to yours.
"Don't tell me that you...." She exclaimed and you tried to prevent her from let everyone know about your little secret.
"Shhhh, I am, but Ivar doesn't know yet. I am going to tell him tonight and then we are sharing it with the others. Keep it for me, okay?" You spoke on a soft tone of voice and Torvi agreed happily before she congratulated you about your pregnancy.
The night sky was very beautiful – enchanting you could even say. But that wasn't the best part of the night, that part would be the fact that you were sitting next to your fiancé, trying to find the best way of telling him that you were expecting his child as he was engrossed in with laptop with work matters. You were away for so long and matters had piled up.
"Ivar, when do you think that we should get married?" You asked him out of the blue as you stood up and walked through the balcony. Ivar glanced at you for a quick second and then turned his attention back on his laptop.
"I don't know, but we should not rush. In three to four months, what do you think?" He proposed without looking at you and you smiled, because this conversation was taking the way you wanted.
"That won't be convenient. I think that it should happen in one or two months." You continued.
"Why so?"
"I'll have gained weight. I won't feet in any dress."
Your words caught him off guard. He abandoned the computer on the coffee-table and fixed his eyes on you confused.
"What do you mean?" Ivar asked as the edges of his mouth lifted and left the sofa to come closer to you. He stopped on when his body was behind yours.
"What do you want me to mean?"
"Don't riddle me, (Y/N)." His voice was stern and you couldn't help your little smirk. "Are you pregnant?" He asked as his body collided with yours and his muscular hands hugged your torso and stayed on your stomach. Your back was touching on his chest, so you couldn't see his facial expressions. "Tell me." He demanded impatiently and you smiled.
You knew how much he wanted a child – a daughter or a son. You were also aware of the fact that he was delighted when Freydis had told him that she was pregnant in the past and thought it was his child when it wasn't.
"Yes, Ivar." You whispered and tilted your head at the side to catch a glimpse of his reaction to your news. What you saw was a tear slipping from his eye and you smiled again. "Are you happy?"
"No." Your blood froze in your veins and your smile died on your lips. You turned so you could face him. "No, I am not just happy. I'm thrilled!" He exclaimed and you felt your heart beating normally in your chest again.
His hands closed you inside them and one of them caressed your hair softly.
"I love you, wife."
You giggled when you heard him calling you wife.
"I love you, husband."

My asks are always open: you can request a filthy smut, a relationship advice and my political opinion, I’ll answer to all of it. Feedback is always welcome and my mistakes are always mine.
The first thing you remembered from that night was the pain. As you were dragged out of your hiding place in the church your body drowned in the most excruciating pain you ever felt. You were pulled by your hair like you weighed nothing, that man would grunt like an animal, speak a language you didn’t quite know and look down at you with a scary smile plastered all over his face.
You screamed and struggled but as the seconds went by you learned that no matter how hard you fought you had no chance against him. Once he got tired of your shifting, he punched you hard on the head and everything went black.
A few hours later, the screaming woke you up, you found yourself bound to a tree while those same men screamed and laughed around you. As your heart started to race you noticed when one of them walked over to you, a creepy smirk on his face as he approached furtively until he was in front of you, one hand rested against the tree while the other held a cup. He smelled your hair, then your neck, dragging his nose against your skin while you tried to squirm away.
“Never been in between the legs of a christian woman.” He growled, bringing his wet finger to the cleavage of your chemise, then spilling the liquid on his cup over your breasts. “And I would love to be in between yours.”
He tried to kiss you but you bit his lip, strong enough to open a cut, his blood filled your taste buds and you spat down on the ground as he winced in pain, moving away a little and staring at you angrily. He quickly rubbed his opened lip with the back of his hand before closing it into a fist and punching you on your stomach.
You gasped. The strong man hit your face with more punches before signing to one of his friends to come close. They untied your arms then and dragged you towards the circle of men out there. They screamed like beasts, raising their cups and laughing at your pain. While one of them held your arms on your back, the other ripped your chemise in half, showing off your naked body to their hungry eyes.
“After I have my way with her, you can have her.” The same man who tried to kiss you growled while untying his tunic, but before he could do anything, another voice screamed from somewhere, putting everyone else in silence.
“Keep your cock to yourself, Harald.”
You widened your eyes, staring blankly over that man’s shoulder. Another man, a younger one this time, walked calmly from a hiding place deep into the woods. A small group of people, a few women included, followed him close behind.
“And why would I do that?” The man you learned to be named ‘Harald’ turned on his back and answered with gritted teeth.
“Because I told you to.” His smug face sent shivers down your spine.
“I don’t feel like doing what you tell me to do, Ivar.”
“You say that like I care about what you feel like doing, Harald.” He sighed. “I am very sorry If I gave you the wrong feeling that you have a say on this, because you don’t.”
“Don’t forget you’re out here on my back, little Ivar. The ships out there are mine, most of the men here are mine.” He grunted, grabbing him by his arm angrily. “And I am getting tired of you Ragnarssons stepping in my way.”
“And you have five of us to worry about.” Another insignificant head sign and four more northmen gathered around them and pulled him off of Ivar who pulled his own sword out of his belt and pointed at his neck.
You took that chance to hit the man behind you with your elbow as strong as you could. He released you in surprise but before you were able to run another one grabbed you, hugging you tightly against his chest.
“Take her to my tent.” Ivar ordered firmly. “And you…” He pushed the sword into his skin. “Stay away from her.”
You were calmly taken to Ivar’s tent, your body was treated with a lot more care this time, the man behind you didn’t dare to look at your bare body, covering your shoulders with the heavy fur he had on his hand. Once you were inside, he made you sit down on a pile of other furs gathered on the floor. A minute later Ivar pulled himself in, only then you noticed his legs and his crutches.
“My name is Ivar.” He grunted tiredly while pulling a chair to sit down, shifting in pain. “This is my brother Hvitserk.” He pointed to him. “We are…”
“The Ragnarssons.” You interrupted them. “I heard the stories.”
“We are very sorry for the way you were treated before.” Ivar continued.
“Would you treat me differently sir?” You teased defiantly.
“I just saved your life.” He answered with a knowing smirk.
“With what intentions?” You insisted.
“The intention to save your life.” He shrugged.
“I don’t believe that.”
“Then what are you doing in my tent? You can go out there if you want.”
You didn’t answer that, looked over the tent opening and then down your lap.
“Go find Ubbe and our men.” Ivar dropped on the floor and crawled towards you. “Keep Harald and his dogs away from here.”
“Stop telling me what to do, Ivar.” Hvitserk talked finally and didn’t seem happy.
“So do you prefer to let them in?” He asked impatiently and his brother just grunted. “Bring me that bowl and a rag. You can leave after.”
Once both of you were alone, Ivar took the wet cloth close to your face but you slapped it away. He tried It again, you slapped it again. He tried one more time and you kept slapping It until he gave up and threw the cloth on your face. You took it yourself and started to wipe the stains of dry blood spread on your skin.
“You were brave out there.” He sighed without looking at you.
“Brave enough to defend myself when I am attacked? Even a dog has that courage…” You grunted out, wetting the cloth and once again taking it to your face, cleaning the fresh wounds.
“It’s not easy to do that once you’re held by a bunch of hungry dogs. They hurt and threatened you, still you didn’t make it any easier for them. It takes courage to do that.” He was looking at you while talking, you couldn’t help your wandering eyes to drop onto his legs. “You didn’t expect much help from a cripple, did you?”
“What happened to them?” You dared to ask.
“I guess I just wasn't the gods’ favorite.” He answered while looking at his legs and then back at you.
“There’s only one true God.” You hissed, moving your gaze away from that man.
“To you.” He answered knowingly. “That’s quite a boring statement to me, you know? I truly believe it’s not possible for only one God to look after this whole creation. That would be too much work for only one.”
“There’s no such thing as too much work for God. He takes care of all his creations, we are his children, he has power to take care of us all.”
“Yeah? And where were him while you were out there being hurt by Harald and his men?” He asked with a curious smile. “If you’re his child, why would he let you suffer so much?” You didn’t have the answer for that question, but couldn’t look away from Ivar’s gaze. “See, my Gods would never let bad things happen to their children, but not every viking out there is a son of a God. My father was. And so are we, me and my brothers.”
“You just said you’re not your gods’ favorite.”
“You saw my men looking down as I walked past them, didn’t you? That wouldn’t happen to any cripple.” He grunted once more. “I might not be the gods’ favorite, little one, but I’m certainly part of the good ones.”
You spent the next few days hiding inside Ivar’s tent. Hvitserk and a girl called Torvi would come in with food and water for you during the day, Ivar would come back by night and a man would always stay outside whenever you were alone. You didn’t feel like a prisoner, but never felt free to go either, not alone at least.
Every night you would watch while Ivar slept peacefully, snoring softly with one hand on his naked chest and the other under his head, never paying any mind to you, leaving his knives and weapons at your reach. Every night the idea crossed your mind, taking one of those knives, taking his life and running back to the city, back to Wessex and your old life, but that seemed so far away that you would always brush the thoughts away.
After days of sleeping only a few hours your body was giving up already, couldn’t bear to stay awake, but could never rest when sleeping, never letting yourself to lay down all of your defenses. Until one day, the silence outside gave you no warning about the abrupt pull on your ankles, your body was dragged outside the tent through the muddy ground until you felt his weight on you, his half naked body dragging over yours and the bad smell of ale coming out of his mouth.
“Little bunny got all alone tonight, what a pity.” He grunted while messily kissing your neck.
“Release me!” You mumbled, trying to push him off of you, struggling with your legs trying to avoid him between your thighs. “HELP!” You screamed as loud as you could.
“Keep screaming… I like that.”
You heard when he, once again, ripped your new chemise appart, his muddy hands staining your untouched skin, rubbing painfully. The drizzle turned into a full on rainstorm, the noise swallowing your screams when he finally made It between your thighs, taking one of his hands between your bodies. Once again, he tried to kiss you and you bit his lips as strong as you could, sticking your thumbs on his eyes and making him roll off of you in pain.
Without giving It a second thought, you ran. You ran as fast as you could through the woods, hearing while the drunk viking ran right after you, feelin the broken branches piercing through the skin of your feet, looking behind your shoulders trying to keep an eye on the man behind you. You ran for what felt like an eternity until you bumped into something, into someone and when you raised your eyes you couldn’t help but feel relieved.
“Ivar.” You mumbled, tugging at his armor, nuzzling into his body, hugging him tightly like he was your life line, the only thing keeping you breathing. You didn’t even notice the group of people surrounding him, when he wrapped you under his arm everything else vanished and all you could sense was him and the strange sense of safety he brought to you.
“What happened? What are you doing out here?” He asked, worry all over his tone as he grabbed the back of your neck, his body trembling while trying to keep you with one arm and hold the crutch with the other. “What happened, little one?”
You didn’t have to answer, Harald finally reached you and you felt Ivar’s body stiff against yours immediately. You turned your head a little looking at Harald over your shoulder. Then you hugged him tighter, hiding your face into the crook of his neck, closing your eyes and trying to completely erase Harald from your mind.
It took a few minutes of silence until Ivar hopped up his chariot with you under his arm, the storm was getting stronger by the minute and you refused to let go of his body. Still holding onto him, as Ivar left with the carriage, you looked around quickly, in time to see Hvitserk and Ubbe dismount from their horses and head towards Harald, you closed your eyes again and leaned into Ivar’s body, hugging him until you reached the camp.
He didn’t say anything, but every time you shook in fear, he hugged you tighter. Once you got there, both of you left the chariot behind with another man, and headed to his tent as fast as you could. He couldn’t hug you while walking, but he made sure to hold your hand until you finally entered the tent. Before you could say anything, someone else showed up and Ivar’s features immediately hardened.
“Ivar…” He started, but was interrupted just as fast.
“Out.” Ivar grunted under his breath, the young man looked at you, a silent plea before walking out. “Stay inside.” He ordered firmly to you before following his man out.
Your eyes followed him, the little spaces between the tent fabric showing half of the scene that was unwinding outside.
“What happened?” You heard as he asked angrily. “You left her alone?” He shouted.
“I got distracted for a moment and…” The young man stuttered in response.
Before he could finish, Ivar pulled his sword from his belt and moved towards him, you yelled in panic:
“No!” You jumped out of the tent towards Ivar grabbing his forearm before he could cut the poor man’s throat.
“What are you doing?” He yelled at you.
“No more killing!” You yelled back.
The storm was unrelenting, and even though It was hard to see, you watched as the adam’s apple on Ivar’s throat went up and down, as if he was carefully thinking about his next words. Your body was the only thing between Ivar and that man, you were his only protection.
“What are you talking about?? It’s his fault Harald almost…”
“It’s nobody’s fault but Harald’s. And even If It was his fault, his death wouldn’t change what happened.” You insisted. “I don’t want anyone getting killed in my name.”
“You should be honored.”
“Innocent blood spilled for nothing, there's no reason to be honored. I won’t be an excuse for another man’s death!”
Ivar looked at you like you were insane, but gave up eventually, dropping his sword and sighing loudly. He then pushed you inside the tent and looked over his shoulder before following you inside.
“I wonder if I had Harald under my sword you would have the same reaction.” He mumbled while starting to untie his upper body’s armor. “Not so innocent blood, right?”
“It’s not your right to take any man’s life.” You mouthed, crossing your arms around yourself. “He will be punished for his sins.”
“You seem very certain about that.” He grunted as he pushed his soaked tunic over his head, showing off the wounds on his chest. You looked away, turning your back at him. “I could use some help.”
“I can’t. You’re naked.” You answered shyly.
“Isn’t your god teaching you to help the ones in need?” You heard as he fell with a tud on the chair, a tiny whimper following right after. “I’m the one in need at the moment.”
“You can do it by yourself. I saw you do it by yourself before.” You insisted, looking over your shoulder discreetly and finding his sparkling blue eyes looking right back at you. You shivered, turning your face again.
“Yes, but before I wasn’t coming back from a battle. I’m wounded, little one.”
“I can’t… I can’t!”
Another muffled laugh sent shivers down your body, you heard while he struggled with the crutches, next thing he dropped on the ground and crawled over the makeshift bed, only in his trousers, as always. After sitting over the furs, he cleaned himself a bit before laying down completely, covering his body and protecting himself from the cold.
“You should take off these wet rags.” He grunted, looking at you.
“I don’t have anything else to put on.” You whispered in response.
He laughed again, a humorless laugh as he looked at you in disbelief.
“You don’t have anything to worry about, little one. There’s nothing working down my waist. Even If I wanted to do anything with you, I wouldn’t be able to.”
“I-I… I don’t believe you.” You looked at him with widened eyes.
“I guess you won’t be sharing the bed with me either.” He mumbled with a smirk.
“You know I won’t.”
“That’s a pity. It’s very warm down here.”
It didn’t take long for him to fall asleep, only then you went to your corner, sitting down on the ground hugging your own legs against your chest, trying to stay warm. Either way, after the first hour your trembling body won the battle against your morals, you got rid of the ripped off rags and carefully laid down under the covers, right next to Ivar.
Your body warmed up almost immediately and you finally stopped shaking. You turned to your side, trying your best to keep some distance from Ivar but keeping an eye on him. He sighed suddenly and your body stiffed, scared he might try anything with you, but he just moved both of his arms under his head. You looked at him shyly, curiosity taking the best of you while you tried to understand what every figure painted on his chest could possibly mean.
“You’re staring.” His voice startled you.
“I-I thought you were sleeping.” You mumbled shyly.
“I was. You woke me up.” He turned his head to look at you, a grin plastered on his face.
“I am… Sorry.” You swallowed hard.
“Come.” He growled, pulling you into his arms, your naked chest pressed against his.
“What are you doing?” You snapped, pushing him away from you.
“Warming you up. Stop pushing me, I told you nothing can happen between us.” He insisted, but you kept pushing him away until you turned on your back, reaching for the knife he had left on the floor and quickly putting It against his neck.
“Killing me It’s a terrible plan, little one.” He whispered, his hands pressing against your back while you kept the knife against the skin of his neck. “But that’s your decision. So… Go ahead.”
Ivar raised his head giving you enough space to slit his throat If you wanted to. Your hands were shaking, your heart was racing against your chest and your breathing was erratic, you stared at him in panic.
“You’re insane.” You whispered.
“So I've been told.” He answered, moving his neck until the knife crossed the first layer of skin, a thin line of blood oozed down his neck. He then lowered his head, catching your gaze with his, a knowing grin spreading all over his face.
You didn’t notice he was moving, not until his lips touched yours softly. At first you freezed, widened your eyes staring blankly into his, but then you parted your lips a little, letting the viking suck your lower lip into his mouth. He pulled away, he seemed as surprised as you were.
“Will you take this off of my neck, little one?” He asked, and you nodded, pulling the knife away. “Let me kiss you again…” He inhaled, nipping at his bottom lip with a hopeful look, his eyes locked on yours.
Slowly, you pulled away a little, relaxing the grip around the knife. Ivar rolled off of you, laying on top of you, his thigh bending between your legs while his hands grabbed at your waist. He kissed you again, parting his lips and waiting until you parted yours so he could deepen the kiss, his tongue slowly massaging yours until he distracted you enough so he could take the knife from your hands and throw It away.
That was your first kiss and you blindly followed his silent commands, repeating his moves a little awkwardly. Ivar pulled away only when he had to breathe, and you followed his face with your eyes closed, yearning for his mouth. You didn’t see the smile forming on his lips before he kissed you again, grabbing your arms and putting ‘em around his own neck.
The weight of his chest kneading on your breasts was slowly making you ache between your legs and his thigh pressing against your core wasn’t helping either, every flex of his muscle sent shock waves through your body, your hips moving on its own accord seeking uncontrollably for the new sensation he was bringing to you.
Without noticing, Ivar started to do the same, grinding against your thigh, his right hand searching between your bodies until it found your breast, kneading at the flesh, teasing your nipple with the tip of his fingers.
When the air became thin again, Ivar dropped his lips to your neck, starting to suck purple marks from your sensitive skin, making you shudder. Your hands found his braided hair and you let slip the tiniest moan, dragging a low grunt from his throat.
His sinful mouth kept his tour down your body until his lips latched at your nipple, sucking and teasing the little nub until it became pebbled and did the same with the other, sucking it into his mouth like a newborn baby.
Ivar opened your legs with his hips and, giving no time for you to protest, licked down your belly until he found your core, latching at your wet folds, sipping at your juices like the finest, the sweetest wine. You widened your eyes at the new feeling, arching your back on the bed as you gripped the furs under your body.
“Ivar…” You moaned shyly. He didn’t stop, starting to suck on your clit feverishly, making you gasp.
He kept sucking on you, messily sucking on you until you were dripping through the corners of his mouth, you could sense your core getting wetter and wetter by the minute, a weird coil on your lower belly started to form and you felt like you needed to go to the bathroom. You tried to pull away from his grip, but both of his hands held your hips in place and you felt his tongue enter you, you moaned loud, calling his name, closing your eyes as you buckled up against his mouth.
“Ivar!” You called again, still trying to push him away.
Your legs started to shake and as the coil snapped you pressed his head between your thighs, moaning loudly when you reached your peak without actually knowing what had happened.
Ivar kept licking on you for what felt like an eternity, before stopping to look at you from down there. You closed your eyes and covered your face feeling utterly embarrassed. You felt as he moved but then he stayed quiet, you looked between your fingers just to see him in awe staring at his own cock. Curious, you finally uncovered your face and sat down, looking at him with a frown.
“It never happened before.” He murmured, still looking at his up and proud cock, head an angry shade of red, leaking profusely down his length. “It ne-never…” He raised his eyes to stare at you, eyes widened.
“What?” You asked in shock, eyes focusing on his impressive size.
“My cock. It never… Worked before.” He whispered, reaching for your hand, pulling it until you touched him. “I made you cum and got hard…”
“Be-because… Because of… Me?” You blinked, looking at him while letting him move your hand up and down his length.
Ivar closed his eyes, lips parting as he sighed heavily. You looked at him, feeling strangely proud of yourself. Your fingers slipped easily, he was wet and hot against your palm, and as he moaned softly, all you wanted was to keep dragging those beautiful sounds from him. But all of that was completely new territory for you, an open field, you didn’t want to hurt him.
“Ivar… H-help me… I don’t know what… What to do.” You whispered shyly, making him open his eyes, his beautiful, sparkling, glossy eyes staring down at you like you were some kind of treasure.
“You don’t…” He gasped as you pressed your fingers around his girth. “Have to… Oh Gods…” He moaned again, eyes now focused on your hand.
You smiled to yourself, releasing his cock and crawling over to him until you were sitting on your calves, right by his side. You raised your hand to touch him again, but he stopped you.
“Sit on me.” He commanded, hands on your hips trying to pull you in.
You widened your eyes, scared. You kneeled on the furs as he held your hips, opening your legs trying to make you straddle him. You held onto his shoulders for balance and grunted in fear.
“Wait… Wait… Ivar…”
He stopped and looked at you, he seemed just as nervous as you were. You swallowed hard, tears gathering on the corners of your eyes. You blinked scared and his grip loosened a bit, only then you felt his hands shaking.
“I’m… I’m sorry, little one.” He breathed and was about to release you when you held his hand.
“Won’t be comfortable for you…” You murmured shyly, moving away from his lap and kneeling beside him again, he blinked confused. “Can you… Can you lay down, please?”
He nodded, moving over the furs until he laid down completely. You took a deep breath before straddling him again, you were wet enough to drip onto his hard cock, either way Ivar licked his fingers and touched you, smearing your juices with his saliva, making you even more wet. With his other hand he held his length, lining It with your center, your hands on each side of his head, eyes focused on his waist.
“Look at me.” He asked and you obeyed, looking up at his face. “Are you sure?”
“Just… Just… Just… Wait a second…” You took a deep breath before closing your eyes and nodding.
“But I need you to look at me.” He begged, his voice was trembling just like his hands. You obeyed, looking down at him with hooded eyes.
Slowly, you began to sit down on him, the head of his cock pressing into you, opening you. You bit on your lower lip, the stretch burning against your walls as he slowly entered you. When he found a thin barrier he stopped completely, holding up your hips .
“Ivar…” You whined, looking at him with glossy eyes.
“Hug me.” He asked and you nodded, moving down on him until your head found the crook of his neck, hands on his shoulders.
He kept you in place for a few more minutes, your walls hugging tightly around him while he used all his strength to wait for your time, he didn’t want to hurt you, not too much at least. Your heart was beating fast and loud on your head, you were breathing rapidly, frantically.
“You’re doing so good for me.” He mumbled, lips finding the skin of your shoulders as he started to suck brand new marks on you. Taking his kisses to your neck, Ivar moved your hair from his way, starting to lick on your sensitive skin, doing his best to distract you again.
You started to moan, absently moving on your hips, your walls fluttering around his girth. You kissed him, holding his face, letting him push you down a little more. You whined against his lips, breathing heavily as he kept pushing you down until he was balls deep into you. Both of you parted the kiss so you could moan loudly, Ivar closing his eyes as he felt your walls gripping him like a vice.
“Oh gods… This is…This is Valhalla…” He groaned.
Your vision was blurred by your tears, you never felt that full before, or that vulnerable. Ivar’s hands started to run up and down your sweaty back, whispering praises into the shell of your ear like prayers to a god, to a goddess. His hips started to buckle, his throbbing cock twitching inside you as your walls shuddered and your hips started to grind down, unconsciously meeting his timid thrusts.
“That’s It, little one, that’s it.” He mumbled in awe, both of his closed as he pressed you against his body.
Ivar covered your shoulder skin in kisses, thrusted up into you very slowly, waiting for you to meet down with your hips. Your cries were muffled against his neck, but as the burning sensation started to fade, your body started to seek the same feeling he brought to you with his mouth.
With your hands on each side of his head, you raised your upper body, unconsciously pressing your hips down even more, the new angle making the head of his cock nudge against a spot inside you, you had no idea was there, but sent electric shock waves through your body and dragged a loud mewl from your throat. You did It again, rolling your lips until you found that same spot, Ivar’s hands finding home on your hips letting you move the way you wanted.
“You’re so beautiful…” He whispered, looking at your throbbing slit. “So beautiful, little-oh-little one…”
Ivar moaned, one of his hands leaving your hip to knead on your breast, your hands quickly meeting his, covering them while you started to move a little faster. Your eyes rolled back into your skull, the feeling on your lower belly started to show up again, making you roll your hips faster. You felt when his hand snaked around your neck, squeezing softly. Your breath hitched and you gasped, his free thumb met your throbbing clit while you began to bounce up and down on his cock.
It was like your body knew exactly what you needed, while your brain went completely blank except for Ivar’s name, your hips circled, rolled and bounced naturally. Both your hands clung to the one he had around your neck, the coil on your belly became tighter and tighter by the minute and the mewls escaping through your parted lips mixed with Ivar’s grunts, filling the tent and probably soaring outside too.
“Ivar…” You started but got cut off by one particularly deep thrust, moaning softly.
“I know. I got you, you can cum on my cock. Make a mess for me, please.” His pleas came out as a broken cry, the sound went straight to your core, the coil snapped finally and you felt yourself clenching down on his cock. Ivar followed you close behind, a warm liquid spurted inside you and dripped down your core onto his cock and pelvis.
With your eyes closed, you fell on his chest, breathing heavily while he hugged you tightly, one hand on your head, caressing your hair while the other pressed down on your back. You stayed like this for a moment, Ivar’s cock slipping out of you after a minute or two. His chest went up and down against yours, rapidly after first, but then slowed down and yours followed.
Ivar moved under you and you squealed in surprise, moving your head to look at him, at his neck to be more specific. He looked down, his eyes meeting yours making you blush and hide your face on the curve of his neck, avoiding his gaze. He laughed softly.
“No need to get all shy on me now.” He whispered, moving the strands of hair from your face.
“It’s easier saying it than doing it.” You answered, still hiding.
He laughed again, keeping his hands on your body and for whatever reason, none of that felt wrong, quite the opposite. But you still didn’t know what to say, your brain started working fast, seeking for the dark side of that, of him. Slowly you became scared of the future.
“Am I still your prisoner?” You asked after some time.
“You never were.” He answered quickly. “But…”
“But what?”
“I don’t want you to go. I’ll be sad if you go.”
You finally looked at him, he looked back. Ivar seemed so young and vulnerable, far away from the scary man you were used to seeing.
“I want you to stay, little one. Stay with me.” He begged, hand meeting the side of your face and you unconsciously leaned into his hand.
You didn’t answer right away, after a moment he fell asleep and you finally found the courage to run away, you grabbed one of Ivar’s tunics and ran, making room for yourself through the woods until you finally reached the gates of Wessex. The guards saw you and immediately opened It, your fiancée jumping down the stairs until he reached you on the floor, pulling you in for a hug.
“Thank God you’re safe.” He whispered. “I thought I lost you forever!” He grabbed your face with both of his hands, leaning his forehead against yours.
Everything you knew was different then. Your hometown, your fiancée, your life. Looking into his eyes didn’t bring you any comfort or sense of safety, not as you found with Ivar. He looked at you for a moment before frowning.
“What did they do to you?” He asked angrily.
“Nothing.” You answered, holding his hands and pulling them away from your face. “I just need to go home, please.” You whispered.
He then covered your body that was half naked to protect you from prying eyes and walked you to the house you lived with your sister. Your parents had died years before, living both of you by yourselves, as soon as you got there she hugged you tightly, crying softly on your shoulder.
“I’m so sorry!” She whispered on your neck. “I shouldn’t have left you alone in the church.”
“It’s past now.” You tried to calm her down.
“Come, I’ll help you clean yourself.”
You said goodbye to your fiancée while she prepared a bath for you. As soon as you entered the wooden tub, the stains of blood between your thighs turned the water slightly pink. Your sister saw It but didn’t say anything, helping you to clean yourself completely. Moments later, you were sitting on your bed, covered in a clean dress while she brushed your hair.
“Are you alright?” She asked shyly and you just nodded in response.
As soon as you found yourself alone, you looked out of the window of your room, the night started to paint the sky a dark shade of blue that reminded you of his eyes. You felt deeply empty, for whatever reason, Ivar was the only thing on your mind. You looked around, none of that felt as familiar as his arms, as warm as his bed. You hugged yourself, feeling dirty, tears gathering around your eyes as you found yourself missing him.
Later, the screaming outside your house woke you up and just like you felt the drops of the rain on your skin on a stormy day, you felt his presence. You got up, sat up on your bed and looked out of the window again. The impulse was uncontrollable, you just left. Ran through your door, towards the noise because you knew he would be there.
When your eyes found his, the sparkling blue lit up under the dim light of the fire surrounding him. He surely seemed like a god bringing chaos into your lull. He seemed hurt, he looked at you angrily at first, but then the relief painted down his features.
Your fiancée grabbed you by your forearm, dragging you through the mess of screaming people while you struggled to get released, you screamed but he didn’t seem to hear you. For a moment you gave up until you heard his voice, right behind you both. He approached in his chariot, crossing in front you and stopping you in your tracks.
Ivar didn’t say anything, he looked at you. He looked at you and for the very first time you felt truly seen. He offered you his hand and without a second thought you jumped into his chariot, straight into his arms. He then smiled at you, beautifully, dragging a smile from your lips before kissing you feverishly.
“Let’s go home, little one.” He whispered against your lips, before leaving all that mess behind.
Imagine you are the one that catches Ivar's eyes, not Freydis.
The crowd is overly excited by the army’s return to Kattegat, they had finally avenged the death of Ragnar Lothbrok. I had not taken long to recruit the great heathen army, and less to decimate the Saxons. Most of the hassle had been travel discrepancies and what to do after. Now with all that finally over, Vikings have a chance to celebrate victory. It is no surprise, then, when the great hall is completely packed with drunk people in the late hours of the night. The celebration of the great heathen army’s conquest is something to brag about, and Ivar the Boneless is doing precisely that.
You have never seen the Viking prince in person, considering that you are not a shieldmaiden, and could not go to avenge Ragnar. Also, you grew up in Ringerike, not Kattegat, thus you never encountered him during your childhood. You have heard the stories, though, not only the most recent ones about his victory against the Saxons, but also those speaking of his cruelty and quick temper. And so when you came to welcome your brother back from fighting in England, it was not in your plan to cross paths with Ivar the Boneless. However, once you entered the great hall, your destiny was entangled with his.
He is not the only man that stares at you more than he should, but his gaze is so intense that you can not shake it off. It burns through your skin like fire, stealing all of your attention from your brother’s words. When you look up, Ivar is already glancing your way. He does not smile or try to approach you like the rest of the men, he just stares. His look is heated but not loaded with anger, it is something else. No one has ever gazed at you like that, it has such desire and amazement. It makes you feel like a goddess. So, while your brother is still talking, you leave his side to introduce yourself to the cruel prince. That is the first step that changes your life.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 4 Part 5
Ivar POV
Freydis kisses my neck, her hands on my body, touching me sensually
And it does nothing for me
I am not aroused at all
She removes her dress and I look at her naked body
Nothing
Last time she was naked and sat on me, I became stiff
Not much but more than the nothing I feel now
Pressing herself to me, she takes my hand and puts it on her breast
I squeeze it, feeling how soft it is but still, I am not interested
And I do not know why
Her hand moves down my chest and stomach to my pants
I breathe in, wondering if her touching me will change anything
Her hand slips under my pants, palming me
She kisses my lips
I kiss her back, my tongue in her mouth
Kissing her is alright
It is nothing like kissing Joanne
I miss kissing her
I have not kissed her in the last few months
But then again we were in constant battle, constant travelling and I just wanted to have sex with her
Now I am kicking myself for not kissing her
Freydis wraps her hand around me, stroking me
I try to kiss her more, touch her body more but nothing is working
Even her hand is not making me hard
What is wrong with me?
Why is it not working now?
Finally I take her hand out of my pants, angry I cannot get hard
"No, I cannot", I lie
Aside from my brothers, no one knows I can have sex
Everyone believes I am impotent and I have used that to my advantage
"Ivar", she starts
"No!", I say louder, "I cannot. It does not work"
She smiles, kissing me again, "I told you I will bear you a son and I will"
How?
If I cannot get hard, I cannot fuck her, I cannot cum inside her
There will be no baby
"I will", she insists, "You are a god. I will have your child"
She takes a knife, holding it up to me and I lean back a little
What the fuck is she doing?
Am I going to have to kill her?
She takes my hand, cutting me
Why am I letting this happen?
She licks my blood, telling me she will have my child by my blood
I just look at her confused
"Your blood is the blood of a god. It can do anything. It will fill me with your child. Your son will be born and he will love you as much as I do. He will be with you at all times. The good and the bad"
Her voice engulfs me and I really listen
She is right
I am a god
Why should my blood not work?
I have fucked Joanne almost everyday for over a year
Sometimes more than once a day and she has never been with child
I cum inside her every time and she has not become pregnant
If my cum does not work, then my blood will
I nod at Freydis, agreeing with everything she is saying
Pounding on her door, she starts yelling and cursing as she walks to the door
"What?", she snarls
She sees it is me and her eyes lower as she bows, "My king"
"Stop it Jo", I scoff, walking inside her home
"Uh-"
"Do not ever bow to me", I scold her, "Without you, I would not be king"
"That is not true and you know it", she says shutting the door, "You were meant to be king"
She is not wrong but what I said is true
She has been by my side my whole life, the one person who has never left me
She is the only person I trust unconditionally
Her belief in me helps me more than she will ever know
"Do you need something Ivar?", she asks, standing far from me
I do not like that, moving closer to her
"I need to ask you something. Do not lie to me"
She glares at me, "I have never lied to you Ivar. I never will."
I nod, satisfied with her answer
I trust her
"Are you and Hvitserk together?"
"What?", she asks incredeously
"You and Hvitserk. Are you in love? Are you fucking?"
Her answer will either give me relief or rage
"No! My gods Ivar, I am not a whore! I do not fuck brothers! What the fuck is wrong with you?", she shouts
Massive relief fills my body
"Are you...with...anyone?", I ask
"No! No one! I have not been with any man beside you. You were the last person I had sex with"
I breathe out a breath I did not know I was holding
"You would know if I was with any man Ivar. If I was in love or getting married. I would of told you. I am not"
I nod, "Alright"
"Is that all?", she snaps
It is but I do not want to leave
I hesitate but still ask
"Can we spend some time together? Like we used to before I became king"
She looks at me then looks away, "I do not think queen Freydis will like that"
Shit, I forgot about Freydis
I should get back
She is pregnant and I do not want to worry her
"Right. Yes, you are right. I will need to get back to her"
She nods, "Alright"
"I will see you soon alright?"
She just nods again
Why do I not want to leave?
Why do I have this overwhelming feeling of wanting to be with her?
Not even sex, just having her in my arms
I shake my head, knocking the thoughts from my head
I turn from her and walk out of her house
🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️
Ten months later
"Loose!", I shout
The archers on the wall shoot their arrows into my brother's army
Well more like King Harald and King Olaf's army that my brother Bjorn is commanding
Oh yes and my loyal brother Hvitserk has joined with Bjorn to try and take Kattegat
They will fail
They are trying to use a battering ram to get through the gates
I am not worried even if they do get in
I look to my right, across to the other side of the wall where Joanne is shooting arrow after arrow into the attacking army
Her arrows hits every target
She is unbelievably good with a bow
She can shoot and kill from a long distance away
She is a fearsome shieldmaiden and I am so glad she is on my side
I hear the creak of the gate doors and look down
The battering ram is starting to crack the thick wood
"Oil!", I shout
The warriors thrown buckets of oils over the side, soaking the battering ram, the men who are operating it and the ground
"Arrows!"
The archers near me dip their arrows into fire and let them loose
They hit the oil and light up the floor, the ram and the warriors in fire
I laugh watching the warriors flail around and scream
Idiots
The clanging of metal makes me look across the bridge to her
Some of the enemy warriors have climbed the wall and are fighting with her factions
I am not worried
She is a capable shieldmaiden which is why I always have her as a commander
I turn my attention back to Bjorn and his attempts at getting into Kattegat
The ram still goes and in the next few minutes the barrier holding the doors closed breaks and the doors fly open
Bjorn and his warriors run in
"Now! Lower"
The second gate I had installed is lowered, crushing the warriors in the way and cutting Bjorn and his small band off from the rest of the army
I watch him and his warriors fight mine, laughing as his people are killed easily
Bjorn and a few others, fight their way up the stairs to the top of the gate then jump back over, landing on the dead warriors below
I hear them yelling "retreat" and watch the scared warriors run away
Cowards
They should die for their cause, not run away like children
Bjorn turns and walks away
Looking back towards her, I can see some of Bjorn's straggler warriors fighting to get over the gate to escape
She's fighting a huge man and I just watch her in admiration
She raises both her arms, stopping his swords with hers
She will kill him then the rest of the stragglers and we have won
Suddenly I see movement behind her and she does not notice
The figure moves behind her as I scream her name
I watch in horror as the figure behind her, holds out a dagger and plunges it into her side
I hear her scream, my heart dropping on the floor
The man in front of her drops his swords grabs her wrists in one of his hands and slams another dagger into her shoulder
"NO!", I scream as I watch her fall to the ground
And she does not move
"Joanne!", I scream, moving towards her as fast as I can
The figure behind her looks up and over at me
Hvitserk
It is Hvitserk
He stabbed her
He might have killed her
How can he do that?
He has know her from childhood as well
They were friends
How can he hurt her?
Hvitserk and the other warrior run to the edge of the gate and jump over it
I do not care about them
I care about her
"Get her!", I command the warriors closest to her, "Bring her to her house now!"
A few warriors pick her up and hurry her down the stairs, taking off towards her home
To the ones near me, I shout, "Get the healers! Send them to her house now. Save her"
I move as quickly as I can, cursing my stupid legs
I burst into her house, the healers already there, stripping her of her armor as she lays on the table
"Joanne!", I yell, moving to her side immediately
There is so much blood everywhere, her breathing labored, her eyes closed
Complete panic takes over as tears burst from my eyes
"Joanne! Wake up!", I shout, shaking her uninjured shoulder, "Wake up!"
She does not respond, unconscious
"My king, please. Please stand aside so we can work", one of the healers says
"Fix her!", I shout
They have to fix her
They have to save her
I cannot lose her
I know now
I know why I need her
I love her
I am in love with her and the thought of being with out her is devastating
I do not love Freydis
I never did
Joanne is the woman I want, the woman I love
That is why I could not have sex with Freydis
Why nothing she did worked
My body was telling me but I did not listen
I am listening now and she cannot die
"Save her", I demand of the healers, "Save her. Do everything to save her. If she dies, you die"
"We will my king. But please. We need space to work"
I lean down, kissing her forehead
"I love you. Please do not die"
Then I move across the room to wait, the healers surrounding her
If she dies, everything is over for me
I will kill myself to be with her
Wherever she goes, I go

J POV
I come to in immense pain
What the fuck happened?
My shoulder is on fire and there is a stabbing pain in my side
I remember fighting on the gate, Bjorn and Hvitserk attacking Kattegat
I remember stopping a warrior from stabbing me with swords
Then all I remember is pain and darkness taking over
I try to move, my hand closing on something
"Jo?", I hear, the voice sounding panicked, "Are you awake? Please be awake"
Is that...Ivar?
"Please wake up. Please. I need you. Please do not leave me"
Leave him?
I am not leaving him
I am not dying
I have to kill whoever tried to kill me
Forcing my eyes open, I make my eyes focus
Ivar is leaning over me, worry filling his face
Worry?
Why?
"Joanne, you are alive! Thank the gods"
"What...what happened?", I ask groggily
I try to sit up but pain flares, knocking me back down
"Do not get up. You are injured and still weak"
"What injury?", I ask, listening to my body and laying down
Ok that is better
"You were stabbed twice. On you left side and your right shoulder. You fell. I...I thought you were...I did not know if...."
He stops and I lift my eyes, shocked to see tears in his eyes
His hand is still in mine, squeezing tightly, his other hand in my hair, running his fingers through the strands
It feels good
"I had them bring you home and I summoned the healers. They had to save you. Or I would kill them"
Kill them?
For me?
Why?
That does not make sense
"There was so much blood. Everywhere, all over you, all over the table, the floor. I had the table thrown out. Your blood was stained into it. I did not...did not want it in here. I will get you a new one"
The table does not matter
He is acting strangely
I did not think he would care so much if I died
He loves Freydis
Should he not be by her side?
"The healers, they fixed it. They stitched you and stopped the bleeding. You...you will have to rest. Stay in bed. The healers will come everyday and check on you. Change the bandages. And I will be here every night with you. I will take care of you."
I am utterly confused
Why is he staying with me?
"But uh Freydis-"
"Is fine without me. I do not think she wants me around anyway"
"No?"
Every since he announced she was pregnant I stayed away from the great hall and from them
I do not know much
I just know that their baby died after birth
He shakes his head, "No. Not since Baldur...."
"I am sorry about your son", I tell him
"He was not my son."
I do not understand what he means, so I do not say anything
"I never had sex with her"
My eyes dart to his in disbelief
He never...he had to....she was pregnant
"Ivar-"
"No Joanne. Listen. I never had sex with her. She tried but...it did not work. I did not...respond. To anything she did"
I do not understand
He is able to have sex
He is able to cum, he is able to have children
What does he mean he did not respond?
He explains what happened, how her touch did not give him any reaction, how she cut him and swallowed his blood
Telling him that is how she will get his child
Fucking ridiculous
And he, he believed her
I know he did because of all the lies she fed him
Lies he was desperate to believe
"That baby was not mine. And he...he was deformed"
He explains the child's deformity and it was horrible
"I exposed him", he confesses, "I could not let him live to suffer as I have suffered. I could not do that to a small baby. To let him grow up not knowing where he belongs, to relentless teasing, to having him constantly be questioned on whether he is a man. I did what was best for him"
I hold his hand tightly
I understand why he did it
But I also understand why Freydis is angry with him
"I understand that you were thinking of the child and his future", I say slowly, "I cannot say I would have not suggested the same. But I also understand why she is so angry Ivar"
"You think I did the wrong thing", he says quietly
"No. No I did not say that. I cannot make that determination because the child was not mine. If you did what you think was the best thing then it was the right decision. I am just explaining to you how hard is it for the mother.", I say gently, "Men...you put the baby inside us. But the women, the baby is with them for nine months. Growing inside. Everything the women does for the nine months is for the baby. For the survival of the baby. The baby is part of her. She will love the baby unconditionally. And it is hard to accept when there is something wrong with the child. It is like you were killing a part of her. Especially if you did it without her knowing"
"I did", he whispers
"Then can you understand why she does not want you around for now?"
He nods, "I...I did not think about it the way you explained it."
I know he did not
He will never be with child, he does not have to think about that
It is understandable
"Do you....do you think I'm a monster?", he whispers, looking at me with tears in his eyes
I reach out, softly touching his cheek, "No Ivar. Nothing you can ever do will make me think that about you. Nothing you do will ever make turn from you. I swear"
He nods, holding onto my arm tightly
"So", I say, changing the subject, "Who tried to kill me?"
"Hvitserk"
What?
Hvitserk?
Why?
What have I ever done to him?
He has fought by my side, I have saved his sorry ass on the battlefield
He tried to kill me?
"Hvitserk?", I whisper
"Yes. He came behind you and stabbed your side. That left you open for the warrior in front of you to stab your shoulder. When you fell they jumped off the gate and ran"
"Bastard", I curse
"Your scream was the worst thing I have ever heard. The only thing that has ever truly scared me. Hearing you in pain....I still hear you screaming in my nightmares"
"I'm sorry", I answer, not knowing what else to say
He is saying so many things to me that I have no idea how to respond to
"Do not be sorry. It was not your fault."
I know it was not but I do not want him to keep thinking on it
Comfortable silence falls, as he continues to stroke my hair
I feel my eyes closing but I force them open
"No Jo. Sleep. It is alright. I will be here with you"
I still do not know why he would want to be here with me but I am happy he will be

He frowns as he hears the knock on his bedroom door and then freezes for a second when you speak. "Ivar? May I come in?" Your voice is soft and tentative, but he knows you will come in either way. He has no time to lose. Shaking his head, he takes action, hastily turning off the tv and grabbing his laptop, putting it on his lap. He's supposed to be working, after all. Pressing frantically on the keyboard, he lets out a sigh of relief as the device wakes up.
As expected, the door opens even though he hasn't said anything yet. "Hello Ivar," you greet him with a smile.
"What are you doing here?" His tone is harsh, and he feels guilty as soon as the words are out of his mouth. You don't deserve to be treated like that.
Still smiling – you never take his crap personally, which never ceases to amaze him – you cross the room and take a seat on the bed, right next to him. "Well, boyfriend," you reply playfully, "we have a date."
"No, you're mistaken," he raises his index finger, "we had a date. I canceled it, remember?"
Crossing your arms, you look him straight in the eye. "You're in pain." It is not a question. Ivar knows he's screwed. Once again, you see right through him. He won't give up though, not without a fight at least.
"I told you I'm behind on an assignment." He speaks earnestly, points at his laptop, and finally shrugs. "I got overwhelmed with homework."
"And we both know that's a lie," you reply without missing a beat. "You're never behind, Ivar. So now, tell me the truth, okay?" Your hand grazes the blanket that covers his legs. You know better than to apply any pressure.
He hates all of that. The situation. His condition. The pain. He hates feeling weak. He hates being unable to walk, even with his braces on, sometimes for days. And he still feels ashamed of not being like everyone else. Of not being normal.
That's why this morning, the moment he saw his eyes in the mirror – not that he really needed it, the throbbing ache in his legs spoke for itself – he knew he had to cancel your date.
"Ivar, you know I can see it in your eyes, right?" You insist as he keeps quiet, threading your fingers through his.
"Fucking eyes," he mutters under his breath before giving you a small sheepish smile, his eyes never meeting yours. "I am in pain, yes," he eventually admits, "and I am sorry I had to cancel. It's not that bad usually but I can't even sit in my fucking chair," he wags a finger in the direction of his wheelchair, "for more than thirty minutes."
"But you're comfy right now, right? I mean, in the bed?" There's no pity in your tone, and for that he's grateful.
"Yes. As comfy as I can be on days like this." He shrugs, wondering what you're getting at.
"Great!" You say cheerfully. "See, that's why I'm here!" Scooting closer, you slip under the blanket, resting your back against the headboard, your face just inches from his.
"What... What are you doing?" Surprise and confusion are obvious in his voice and he finally looks at you.
"Well," you reply with a smile, giving him a peck on the tip of his nose, "even though you can't go out, the date still can happen. Right here. Hmh? What do you say, boyfriend?"
Ivar lets out a sigh. "Y/N, I'd be no good to you... I'm stuck here." He shakes his head helplessly. "There's just nothing I can do..."
"I beg to differ." You laugh, grabbing his arm and wrapping it around your shoulders. "That, you can certainly do. And I'm pretty sure you'll be just fine kissing me, or eating the pizza I already ordered!"
"You never give up, do you?" A half-smile crosses Ivar's face as you lean in close.
"Never." You whisper, your lips brushing his. And as you grab the remote, turning on the tv, "what were you watching?" his pain lessens just a bit.
Note: Prompt is "first date" for @vikingsevents. Thank you for making this possible. I had an idea to write after a long time! Please be nice, I have used google translate for writing.
Pairing: Ivar x F!reader
Summary: You need a date for your brothers wedding and Ivar answers to your ad.
Wordcount: 739
You have tried making friends with MeetUp but failed. Your brothers wedding was soon and you had not a plus one found.Just when you were about to give up and close your ad, you received a message. You set a time when he should be at church before the ceremony. Contrary to your expectations, this man who introduced himself as Ivar was not unattractive. You chose a pale blue dress and he said he would wear the same tie to match. Most of the guests were already inside the church when an unfamiliar car parked nearby. You almost tripped in your haste to see if this could be your date.
The passenger side window rolled down, revealing the bluest eyes you've ever seen. “Excuse me, are you Ivar?”, you ask, pushing your hair back from your face to get a better look at him.The driver of the car got out and walked around the car to the trunk. He then pulled something out before walking to the passenger side. "I'm Y/N!", you continued. The passenger door opened and you realized that your date might not be able to dance with you. You think he should have told you ahead of time that he needed a wheelchair, but kept that to yourself.
"Yes I'm Ivar.", he said and stood. You were confused and looked between the wheelchair and Ivar. "I don't need it always.", Ivar explained. He carefully sat down in the wheelchair and thanked the other person. When you asked who it was, Ivar replied that it was his older brother Ubbe. Ubbe drove away.Ivar is actually wearing a pale blue tie that matches your dress perfectly.
"Every one is in the church.", you say and offer to push him. He refuses. The church is silent inside when you come in. Your brother at the altar nods at you, and you walk forward. The ceremony is beautiful and you shed tears as your sister-in-law walked down the aisle.
“Do you want to marry some day?” you ask quietly and look at Ivar. His frown is sufficient response. It looks like he didn't want to go to the wedding. “Why did you answer to my ad?” you ask now Ivar looks like he'll think about it for a while. You’re undecided to ask another question.
“My brother Ubbe set this up.”, Ivar answered you. He looks like he wants to cross his arms to hide shame. You lay a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. You did not expect the muscles underneath his suit. “He said I need to be out more.” Your quiet conversation ends before the Newlyweds say yes.
You feel like you've known Ivar all your life. The thought that I won't see you again makes you sad. And so you decide to show your best side in the hope that he wants to see you again.
When you arrive at the banquet hall, find a quiet corner. Your brother won't be too angry with you for sitting so far away. He knows you have not been lucky with men. “Is it only you and your brother?” you ask and look at Ivar with interest.
“I have more brothers and a sister.”, Ivar said. “You don’t have to make me feel like you care.”, He said. “I’m a cripple. Noone wants me.”, He said with bad disguised anger. You see his fists tighten on his lap and you lay your hand over his to comfort him.
“But I care about you.”, you say to him. “I do not know you a lot but I like you.”, you say and smile at Ivar. His blue eyes capture your attention and you don’t hear his next words. “I'd like to get to know you better if you'll let me.” you say instead. Ivar raises one eyebrow.
His skepticism apparent he nodded. “We can try.”, Ivar said, his mouth forming a small smile. “Do you want to dance?” He asks out of the blue. You nod at him and he says he only needs his cane for security. You think that maybe Ivar wants this to be your first date too when he softly touches you.
You and Ivar talk a lot until late at night. You both take breaks between dances and when it is almost time to go home, he hesitantly kisses you as he softly sways you in his arms. You feel as if you are living a dream. “I think I am falling for you, Y/N.”
