Of beasts and bottles part 1.

Twisted was going thru his supply room, taking note on what he needed to get more of on his next supply run. As he was finishing with this, he heard a knock on the door behind him. He turns around, closing his notebook and smiling as he sees his son in the door. "Oh hey there Marvel, you need something?" He said to him, Marvel nods, "yeah, came to let you know that Ms. Eclipse and Crinos are here". Twisted nods softly, "let them know I'll be right up" he says as he gathers a few things. Marvel nods and heads back up stairs to where Ms. Eclipse and Crinos were waiting, "Dad will be right up" he says to them with a smile.

They nodded and after a few minutes he came up, "hope I didn't keep you two waiting too long" he said with a smile. She shakes her head, "not at all, it has only been but a few minutes" she says calmly, her son nodding beside her. Twisted nods softly, "glad to hear, I take it you're here for a resupply and you're here for your lesson?" He says to them. They both nod, Twisted smiles, "good good, well you can go wait in the lab Crinos, I'll be right along". Crinos smiles and nods as he heads down to the lab, having been around the home so many times over the years, and knowing the way. The past year and a half spent training under his uncle.

After a few minutes Twisted comes down to the lab, having finished getting Ms. Eclipse her stuff. "So you ready for today's lesson?" He asks happily as he comes over to Crinos, he smiles and nods. Twisted smiles and starts getting stuff ready, "so what will we be working on today?" Crinos asks him, trying to figure out what it was. Twisted chuckles as he gets a small case out and sets it on the table, "something special" he says with a smirk.

Twisted opens the case, inside were a few small colorful balls. "What are those?, candy?" Crinos asks curiously. Twisted shakes his head, "nope, they're a form of solid potion I created a while back for when I need something fast". Crinos nods softly, thinking that sounded useful, "so you just pop one like a pill?" He asks, looking down at them. "Sort of... it's well.. more like well... eating a candy" He says, chuckling softly. Crinos snorts softly, "so you'll be teaching me to make these then?". Twisted nods softly, "yep, and considering that you plan on following in your mom's hoofsteps, these will be even more useful".

Crinos tilts his head, feeling like he meant something more then just the quickness. Twisted chuckles seeing this reaction, "how bout I show you what I mean" he says while Crinos nods in response. Twisted smiles and picks up a soft yellow ball in His magic, placing it between his teeth and crunching down. Within a few moments his body starts to change, growing bigger, his coat getting rougher, his horn shrinking a little though. After he stops changing he smirks down at Crinos, "how do I look?" He asked, his voice a fair bit deeper. Crinos looks up at him with awe in his eyes, "b-big..." Was about the only word that came out of him.

She worked hard, tracking down and eliminating those who hid in the darkness. She was the salvation of towns and scourge of inferal beings. Then she met the Hunter Woola Bula. Woola was a big game hunter and monster slayer, using witchcraft,voodoo and alchemy to subdue his quarry. Where as ivory did her work for the betterment of others, woola did it for the money,fame and mostly for the thrill. Ivory and Woola would cross paths many times in there career’s. Ivory was always so prepared and planned. Woola was more impulsive able to think on the fly, making them perfect partners when they would team up. This eventually lead to things such a victory rut after a particularly hard fight. Eventually ivory became pregnant with her first child, whom she would name Crinos. Ivory knew the type of zebra that woola was and didn’t even bother trying to convince the brute to settle down. Surprisingly woola did take an interest in his son, though it was well after the bonding phase when the child was a foal. Woola taught his son about the great wind, who calls those to adventure. Crinos learned the arts of demon hunting from his mother, alchemy and occult practices from his father. He began to blend the two art forms together, inventing a series of alchemical potions. These potions had what normal ponies would consider to be horrific. The various potions are made from extracted monster essences, specialized herbs and  secret ingredients that mutate Crinos’s body temporarily. They have a hit on his mental capacities when in use, and sometimes falls to blood rage. But the power they provide is undeniable. If he is to hunt monster, why doesn’t he just kill them by being the bigger fiercer monster. Eventually Crinos’s answered the call of the wind and adventure. But does take his mothers nature into account only taking what he needs as a reward. He does sometimes fall to his darker natures but tries to be a better pony, even if he does truly enjoy the carnage of combat.
