Yes, hello, I just wanted to let all my Tolkien, The Hobbit, and Bagginshield homies know I’m finally going to try and finish I Was a Lonely Soul.
I’ll use this opportunity to split the current chapters into shorter ones and reupload them—thus overwriting the old chapters—but the story has undergone no edits beyond the average spellchecking.
I hope this more bite-sized format will encourage my old readers to reread what was already published so as to refresh their memories, and with some luck this will also bring in a new audience!
(Re)Posting starts on the 8th of October, and it will be a weekly occurrence, so every Sunday you’ll get a “new” chapter. All-new content will start being posted on the 10th of December, after the reuploading schedule ends.
Again, here’s the link to the story as it exists presently, for those who are interested. This Sunday, the reuploading process begins. Whether you decide to join me now or later in this quest to finish a project so dear to me, I look forward to meeting you there!
I WAS A LONELY SOUL // Story summary: It’s been fifty years since the retaking of Erebor, and Bilbo Baggins of the Shire has been invited to join in the festivities. Despite his advanced years, he sets out for the faraway kingdom expecting to find old friends, make new memories, and head back West at the end—but things never go quite the way Bilbo wants them to. This time, it may prove to be a good thing.
