What?! Gasp?! Argh!!!
Argh, help me! I fell into the never-ending story and I can not get out!
Facebook tricked me into searching out a book that I can only find on the website, novelbook.com. By tricking, I mean there was a post on facebook that I thought was a short personal story, which turned into an actual book that someone had posted several chapters of. I was not aware that this was the case until I came to the end of the post. I really do not like reading books for free online if it is not on a reputable site, but this “book” is only available that way. It’s not even available on Amazon!
So I delved into The Divorced Billionaire Heiress by I Wanna Eat Meat. This is not a typo and the only name I can find associated with the story. I found this name through the website, Goodreads. I wonder if they were hungry when they started eating this? Either way, they must write a new chapter when they read this story because it has… brace yourself… 1883 chapters!!! The last chapter was posted on 4/10/2022… and it is still NOT FINISHED! Personally, I have made it to the 200th chapter which is a drop in the bucket considering how many chapters the story has.
This story has been so hard to put down because it is one of those books that can keep a reader’s attention. It’s interesting enough that I have continued to overlook the multitude of mistakes spread throughout the writing. Spelling, grammatical, and just plain wrong words are everywhere!
I’ve come to realize that this is probably because The Divorced Billionaire Heiress was bootlegged from a different language, possibly from China. The reason I think this is because I found a fanfiction/personal story on the website mtlnovel.com. With the exception of the character’s names, the summaries are exactly the same. With that being said, let's get into the actual book review! Huzzah!
So basically, this story follows a woman named Nicole Stanton after she decides to divorce her husband, Eric Ferguson. After their divorce, Nicole goes back to her family who are incredibly powerful, wealthy people. Before her marriage, Nicole was incredibly pampered and was highly respected for her achievements in her academic pursuits. She gave all of that up when she decided to pursue Eric as a life mate. She did not want him to want to be with her because of her connections. This led his family and friends to treat her as though she was lesser than them because they are wealthy as well. They assumed she was an orphan, which also translated to poor in their eyes. The main misstep for Nicole is that she NEVER TOLD ERIC how his family was treating her. There are additional details that I do not want to ruin for a potential reader so I am intentionally leaving out important details, but that is because it will detract from the experience. It is definitely a “HOLY MESS!” moment for the reader. There are too many antagonists to name, but they each play a role.
This story reminded me heavily of what I have heard about telenovelas. Everytime I thought that things were about to be resolved for the protagonist, there was a GASP! moment and another problem fell into Nicole’s lap.
If anyone is a fan of stories that don’t seem to have an end in sight, give The Divorced Billionaire Heiress a shot! It is interesting and all I want is to find out what happens to Nicole and Eric! If someone is completely caught up on this story, please let me know!
