found a mistake in the law and order svu confidential book. 100 percent sure Kim Rollins is Amanda's criminal sister and not a detective.
Forgot to set the date on the camera so it's wrong, lol. 🤣 😆

The Jinja of Blood: Of Shadows and Lost Souls is the exciting new fantasy novel by Vivian Bell. Photo: Amazon The Jinja of Blood: Of Shadows and Lost Souls (Book 1) By Vivian Bell An ancient jinja …
Ancient shrines. Immortal vampires. A love that bridges eternity and human time. 🌙
My latest book review dives into The Jinja of Blood, a dark urban fantasy set in modern Japan, where yokai lurk and longing never fades.🏯

Read: April 2021
Grace Porter works harder than most people. She has to, as a queer, black woman in the astronomy field. Her whole life, she’s been planning for her dream career. She has been in school nearly her entire life, and now, with her PhD. in hand, finding a job should be easy, right? When she wakes up in Vegas to find that she’s married to a random girl and doesn’t get the job her professor said she was a shoo-in for, Grace realizes she needs a break. She leaves her entire plan behind to truly get to know the woman she married - and herself. This book is about self-love, mental health, and finding your place in the world. It’s about being okay with not being perfect, finding your family, and choosing who you want to be.
I laughed. I cried. I'm still crying. This book was so well written and so relatable. This book will rip your heart out and sew it back together. 💖
These are some of the #bookmails I read this Spring. I enjoyed each and one of them and highly recommend.
The Book of Lost Hours by Hayley Gelfuso – A sweeping historical fantasy about time, memory, and a mysterious library filled with books containing the memories of those who witnessed history.
Palm Meridian – A heartfelt, bittersweet story set in a Florida retirement resort for queer women. It’s a celebration of aging, friendship, and love, with a touch of humor and deep emotional moments.
Let Them Stare – A vibrant YA novel about a gender-nonconforming teen navigating small-town life, fashion dreams, and a ghostly mystery. It’s quirky, rebellious, and full of queer joy.
I Bet You’d Look Good In a Coffin – A darkly humorous thriller featuring Kitty Collins, a serial killer with a sharp wit and a mission against misogyny. If you love twisted, fast-paced crime fiction, this one’s for you.
The Book of Lost Hours – A sweeping historical fantasy about memory, time travel, and secret organizations. It’s perfect if you love intricate world-building and deep emotional stakes.
Skipshock – A genre-blending fantasy romance set in a universe where time dictates power. It’s immersive, unique, and packed with adventure and intrigue.
And now that we are officially into Summer here in 🍁, the heat is on. I am soaking as much sunlight as I can. The backyard swing is my chosen reading spot.

It’s the highest virtual being up there who manages things quite well. It’s working fine, by the way! We lose people; sometimes sticking with them isn’t a good choice either. Do yourself a favour…

It's been a while since I've posted about book recommendations so I created one, specifically for June ✨️ Creating this queer graphic novel and maga list makes me want to reread them despite having a massive tbr this month already 😆
Anyway, I call this list "𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖 𝚒𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚎𝚡𝚌𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐, 𝚏𝚞𝚗, 𝚊𝚗𝚐𝚜𝚝𝚢, 𝚏𝚛𝚞𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐, 𝚌𝚞𝚝𝚎, 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚏𝚎𝚕𝚝, 𝚏𝚞𝚕𝚏𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚌𝚔 𝚘𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚊 𝚕𝚘𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎🤚🏽."
Not gonna lie. That was what I felt when reading these mangas and graphic novels ♥️
I don't see them that much here on booksta and thought, why not post about these gems ✨️ I would say these are some of my top tier list that I have yet to see here on booksta so I'm sharing these here ✨️
“Fear and Other Stories” serve as a reminder of the inherent dangers of being a Dalit, whose existence is plagued by terrible violence and dread, even amid their daily routine. Penguin published the book and is already released in April, also known as Dalit History Month in India.
