I love how the trick-or-treating scene implies that not only do the neighborhood adults and children feel comfortable interacting with Lestat on a nightly basis (despite his eccentricities), but that Lestat has made an effort in becoming such a member of the community. Like, bro was going full Regina George, but he had the decency to pause, go out and buy candy, and answer the door for trick-or-treaters. And not just any amount of candy, but a full-on bucket.
I like to think the neighborhood children view him as like a crazy uncle. Like, "Yeah, that is our neighbor Lestat. We've never seen him outside during the day, Mom swears she saw a coffin being delivered to his apartment, and I'm pretty sure I heard him sobbing into his pillow the other night. But he plays some sick piano bars and gives out the on-brand candy, so he's cool."
Armand immediately dipping out after making Daniel like the dad who went to go get milk and Lestat and Louis having to step in and gentle parent this 80-year-old fledgling… they’re not his makers they’re the makers who stepped up
