My incredible yoga & culture experience of Peru concluded in Lima. A walk from the middle of town in Mira Flores had me face to face with this Red Cupid Statue, aiming his bow towards the “El Parque Del Amor” Love Park! Inside the park stands the massive “El Beso” statue, two lovers laying & embracing in the most tender kiss. All through the park are curved, mosaic walls/benches full of lovers names, love promises & quotes. So cool & colorful! Of course I had to have a crepe at the “Beso Francis Creperia”, Nutella & Banana hit the spot for sure! Delicious! A love park wouldn’t be complete with some “love locks”, with each key being thrown into the ocean for safe keeping! I also had the meal experience OF MY LIFE while staying in Lima. Kjolle, the sister restaurant to Central is an absolute MUST if you can get yourself a reservation. 9 courses of exquisite dining, paired with 9 perfect wines. The “experience” lasts a full 4 hours!! My taste buds didn’t know what had hit them! The flavors, colors, textures & smells. And the service was impeccable! Seriously, treat yourself to this, I’m so happy I did! If you’re headed to Lima, a Pisco Sour is an absolute must! Although made from fermented grape, it tastes like a super strong margarita! Anyone that knows me, knows that I’m a bit of a “lightweight “ concerning alcohol so I don’t think I ever actually finished one of these super yummy drinks.... I did try really hard!! And then my dream came true (I’m a simple girl, what can I say!), floating in an infinity pool, 12 floors up, overlooking the ocean as the sun set.
