As a child, did Valeria look like a younger version of themself, or were they a caterpillar?

AHHH!! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. Allow me to explain...

So Valeria is a weapon's experiment. He's a Spanish moon moth that was grown in a lab for better soldiers and less manslaughter, but she had to be raised from an egg to make sure they had good genes.

This is him as an egg. It's larger than a normal moth egg, about the size of a Softball and kept in closed off and climate controlled incubator until she hatches. The egg gets firmer and had to be pulled apart whenever he hatches and placed in another incubator.

This is the other incubator and she spends her first year in this water container with tubes to make sure she keeps progressing. The bubbles were just fun to add and I wanted to draw him as a little fetus baby.

They had to adapt outside of his environment and had longer arms to reach and grab stuff easier. She can't see for the first two weeks so relies on touch and smell at first. Also she's about 10 inches big here and covered in fuzz to protect her caterpillar flesh. Or something. I don't know what caterpillars are made of.

When he can see, he needs to be slowly exposed to brighter light since they're used to soft lighting. She isn't allowed outside the lab until she gets her wings. His eyelashes act similar to antennas and give the sense of smell and sight, but still can't speak for the first 5 years.

Her hair has to be shaved and trimmed regularly to move easily. You can tell how he uses the different limbs. He moves very slowly and prefers carpet instead of tiles.

Project V1 can only be fed liquids and juice since they don't have teeth. At age 3 they begin eating with their caterpillar beak instead of their proboscis. Still eating mostly leaves and plant stems.

At 6 years old, V1 loses her caterpillar beak and grows longer limbs. They only have 4 now because they're next phase will grow them legs. She can speak now but mostly uses sign language to practice with their new hands. Her hair is still trimmed regularly but doesn't get in the way as much. Valeria gets a few shirts to get used to wearing her uniform once she goes through the chrysalis stage. And that's all for project V1. Thank you for asking more about Valeria.
