oookkk this was actually so hard😭 here are my picks
My pick for Danny is a little corny but hear me out. Danny to me is comfort, he's steady, and he's a bit of a country boy (could not tell you why i have that association for him, but i do). He's loyal and will be a rock for you in tough times. So I picked one of my guilty pleasure favorites, Home by Phillip Phillips.
My Josh pick is incredibly goofy but hear me out!! We all know that Josh has the best music taste of the group (not me being biased at all as a funk/soul/disco girlie above all else) so I know in my heart that he is a Silk Sonic stan! Josh to me is a deep romantic who falls in love every day, and he's silly, theatrical, and also incredibly sexy without taking it too seriously. After Last Night by Silk Sonic featuring Thundercat and Bootsy Collins encompasses all of that.
My pick for Jakey babey is a little weird! You may ask, "Poppy, why wouldn't you pick a rock n roll song for the king of rock n roll himself, Jaket Kiszka?" but this song, Time Alone with You, by Jacob Collier featuring Daniel Caesar, is super sexy, kinda funky with a lot of jazz influence, but with that Jacob Collier signature musical wit that I feel like captures Jake's weird sense of humor and goofiness that's always just underneath that sexy hard exterior.
Sammy was the toughest for me but I think I've got it. Hopeless Wanderer by Mumford and Sons is a song that to me is the epitome of the pretentious hipster "i hate pop music" movement. However, they never took themselves as seriously as their fans did, hence the very silly music video that was self-deprecating and making fun of those very hipsters that comprised their fan base. This, in addition to the lyrics about being young and fickle, and also it just being a great song by a great band, all makes me think of Sammy.
