Aaron hadn’t planned on being accompanied to college by their “little brother” when they got up this morning. But as they were still dodging their family’s prying eyes, and the little thing refused to stay in the computer. So, with the small bundle wrapped up in a heavy winter coat and hat in the middle of August, they made their way through Shibuya’s train station. There hadn’t been time for face make-up, and the excuse for the purple swirl under their eye would be the same as always: they got into the markers. To anyone who didn’t know the little angel, that would be perfectly believable...
“Come on, buddy. Come on. We gotta scoot--” they said as they coaxed the small blonde child along behind them.
In their rush to get to school with some time to spare while trying to keep Lucien safely close to them, they didn’t pay perfect attention to where they were going. They got onto a mostly empty train, ushering Lucien ahead of them, and managed to ram face-first into the only other person in the car. Aaron stumbled backwards just as the doors closed, their beanie getting caught in the closing doors. “OOF!” They grunted as they hit the ground, and the small child with them turned with concern to help them back up.
“Aaron!” they said, the voice child-like and innocent. Yet, that tone would be eerily familiar to anyone who knew it.
