polyamory would have fixed them
the opening scene of the pilot of waterloo road is so great.
"i predict a riot" plays as a kid smashes a school window, girls practice a dance routine, boys handshake, kids on phones, some girls bully another girl, two teachers stand in the midst, one yawning the other smoking, and a student tells them the head master is on the roof. cut to a man throwing boxes of papers onto the students below, ranting and raving about how much he hates the place, one of the teachers from the ground runs up to stop him and the headmaster collapses in hysterics in the teachers arms as the camera pans to the sky to show the title and logo. that's how you do it! can't wait for the new season!

Tom, we have to stop this once and for all, I’m sorry. My fault as well. Why, you say stop, like it is an easy thing to do. To stop all these feelings we have for each other. I can’t do this.
Waterloo Road series 1 is a killer for me watching Tom and Izzie because it just makes me think of my friend I just can’t 😭
Izzie got killed 🤭😯😳👀😩
I literally just replied to your previous ask, trying not to spoil it because I didn’t know how far you were into S2. Lol
I remember that, it was weird for me because I knew something had to happen but it was a question of how and when. Like I said in the previous ask, I started watching it mid S3 (I could tell you exactly when, but spoilers! Major) and Izzie obviously wasn’t there but Chlo and Mika were and minor spoiler, they were living with Tom and they’d talk about Izzie.
But it was still brutal. The only shame was that the first two seasons her and Lorna’s character arcs were defined by Tom and the love triangle. But at least Lorna had the MS, my only regret was that the actress didn’t stay on and they could have told a long term story of a teacher dealing with it.
But one good thing that came out of Izzie and Lorna’s exit is that the love triangle ended and the show properly starts to move on with better storytelling in my opinion.
Izzie was my favourite fucking character aswell.
