as much as i love a good enemies to lovers fic, fake dating fucks me up sooooo bad i love it. like i know (usually) exactly how it’s gonna end but im still always just so hyped for it? will someone find out????? will they really fall in love?????? will i ever escape this trope????? i’m not trying to correct you i’m trying to disagree with you? like people are allowed to think it’s amazing that she’s back and working on a show after just giving birth. i’m a preschool teacher and i work with babies all the time and i think it’s pretty incredible. like this isn’t hate i’m just trying to share my opinion.

no, ok, the narrative hated isabelle lightwood. clary hated her because she was pretty. jace told clary that isabelle liked to play with the affection of boys. we are told over and over by different characters how terrible izzy is. when isabelle ACCIDENTALLY gets simon turned into a mouse, she gets strung up. the books unabashedly HATED izzy and talked about what a terrible person she was CONSTANTLY even though her actions showed otherwise. just saying.

i think it's more that taking care of a newborn is tiring and she's missing out on a lot of sleep

Tbh, taking care of new borns isn’t as hard(unless they are colicky) and she isn’t doing it alone...
