I like that two people can look at a rapidly spiraling fandom and go, simultaneously, "y'all need to be nicer to Izzy Hands," and (if you are me), "y'all are being way too nice to Izzy Hands"

#its less that i object to niceness #and more that if you want me to believe in a domesticization arc #he's going to need to get railed more than once #izzy is not having ed's arc where he is ready and open to unlearn shame and embrace alternate forms of masculinity and identity #so while i want the meanness to be tinged with affection or at least nuance #i do think a little meanness is what he is craving #izzy hands is a witch and he is made of knives and mismatched genre expectations #if your fic has left izzy sobbing into a bucket at the end of it you are getting TWO big thumbs up from me #is this too much #we'll find out #izzy fandom #specifically i think it probably depends on which ship you are looking at lol the izzy/blackbeard fics are much meaner
