the whole concept of "waking up" is for straight people. the gay way is to lay in bed all day and never actually Awaken because the weight of reality is too much to bear with a fully conscious mind.

i am Killing this day???
i know it’s well-intentioned cuz “not like other girls” representations of femininity are Annoying at best and Harmful at worst but like
maybe let’s not throw butch women or gender-nonconforming folks under the bus when having conversations about characters who reject femininity.
like, yes, it’s shitty for female characters to constantly be like “ugh i’d rather die than wear a dress/makeup/heels” and make a big deal about how they Hate Girl Things because they’re Better Than That
but also let’s acknowledge that there are a lot of women/women-aligned people who really Would rather die than wear a dress/makeup/heels for important, valid reasons that are unrelated to internalized misogyny/superiority to feminine girls
and that not every case of a female character defying gender norms is an example of them being “not like other girls” — sometimes, they genuinely Aren’t like other girls, and that truth doesn’t have to come at the cost of Other Girls. girls are allowed to be girls in all different ways. embracing femininity is vital to some people’s experience of womanhood but that’s not the only narrative worth exploring!!!
ur boi is gonna finish nanowrimo tonight
