Ely shrugged. Copious amounts of emotion and Izzy didn't tend to mix very will. They were surprised that he had even asked them that question, though they struggled not to show it.
"My boss..." They responded quietly, glancing over to the older pirate cautiously as a way of gaging his reaction before quickly turning back to the sea.
"A-and I guess my friend too... if you want..." Of course, Izzy was more than that. He'd let Ely trail behind him when they'd first been appointed cabin boy. He'd shown them the ropes, so to speak. Even now they'd been aboard the Queen Anne for going on 2 years, Izzy was still teaching them things. It was hard not to feel some sort of parental connection in response to that level of mentor ship... That or Ely is just severely starved of 'healthy' attachment figures.
