list 13 songs you’ve been listening to lately
Romance - BUCK-TICK (i've actually been listennig to this band non-stop since their vocalist, Atsushi Sakurai, passed away recently... I chose this song cuz it's one of my favs, but i'm gonna leave a link to their playlist on spotfy here since it's the more honest answer lol <3 I've been a big fan of BUCK-TICK since i was a teen so it hit me pretty hard)
เรา - Selina and Sirinya (from the Sand - Only Friends Playlist cuz I've been obsessed with it since Jojo posted it)
Love is War - Hatsune Miku, Ryo (listen.... i got nostalgic sdfhlsd)
It's Only - ODESA, Zyre (found this song through an anime amv and now i'm obsessed... what year is this)
Night Dancer - IMASE

i actually wanna kno what the Quebec quero video means I am utter confusion-
it's a language play on words!
Quebec sounds a lot like "qué beck" in brazilian portuguese
Qué = from the verb querer = want
Beck = brazilian portuguese slang for marijuana joint
"Qué beck?" = "Want a joint?"
soooo the joke is that the guy answers that he's from "Quebec" which in brazilian portuguese sounds like you're offering to share a joint, which is why the other guy answers "quero" (aka "I do").
Europeans: we only respect European football! Oh, and Brasil, maybe
Brasil: nobody asked you, get fucked *joins hands with other South American teams* let's go, people
I am loving this energy.
same!!! i mean let's be honest the world cup BELONGS to Ursal it's about time we bring the cup back
no but really even irl everybody I know is rooting for other Latin American countries besides Brazil
and also African, Middle Eastern (except Iran) and Asian teams... basically if it's not Brazil playing anyone can win EXCEPT European teams they can fuck right off oisdfsoidhfsdiohf
Hello you said you could write a doc paper on the question I sent genderoutlaws. I can see that few people like how I asked it and complain about my word choice or sentences but you suggested it has an answer by saying there could be a paper. Without demanding you writ that paper could you begin to say what would be in that paper? What sources and what methods and what assumptions going into that paper? If you do answer could you please @ the blog I sent the question to because I think it calls for wider discussion and could help people like me who are interested and asking these things.
Thank you
omfg
ok. so. i debated with myself if i should answer this seriously but you seem to be asking in good faith nonny so i'll explain a few things to you.
for reference, the ask mentioned here is this one at @genderoutlaws' blog:
Hello I am asking for reference, which feelings are gender, and how did there come to be man feelings and woman feelings in the first place. What are their content and what are their origin and what are they based on and also how to know them from sexism or is it that sexism is unreal or rather true and it was just a matter of sorting into gender by choice and now that the choices are made there are different casts of people suited to different roles in society and personality and relations like with sex. So then everyone is into everyone maybe but have preferences about the culture of gender and that is gay or straight not biology
Let's organize this by topics cuz i don't know how long it'll get:
First things first, by saying one could write a doctorate paper on this topic i meant that this is a theme so complex it befits a doctorate paper, not that there is necessarily a definite answer. Not all researches have definite answers, specially when it comes to humanities fields;
One could approach this topic from several different fields, sociolology, philosophy, anthropology, psychology (?? maybe), gender studies... So that's the first thing one would have to define when researching this;
As someone with a law degree and a post graduate degree in human rights and public policies who's research focused on refugee and environmental rights, i'm definitely not qualified to write a paper on this topic or answering this quesstion the way you want me to lol;
Do you have any idea how long it takes to even start fiding and cataloguing good sources to write any research paper in humanities?? Let alone a fucking Doctorate???? And this topic would probably require field research and acquiring data through questionaires, interviews and what not, like, this is no simple thing. And then you have to define the methodology of your research, which ALSO takes a loooot of work, there's usually a whole chapter in a thesis dedicated just to explain your methodology and how and why you chose it. Also, even though I do have a basic understanding of sociology and philosophy and other humanities fields, fiding you those sources would take ~ANYONE~ a LONG time like LOOONG time to gather, even if they already studied this topic, let alone me when this is not even my fiel of expertise.;
People get paid to write doctorates. Doctorate students get paid to do research. Did u know this nonny?? I'm not getting paid. Thought perhaps I should be. I feel like I deserve it;
If you’re interested in studying this topic I find that super cool. If you want to study this topic academically that would be amazing! This is a field and topic you could spend a life time researching and writing about and never get to the botton of it, as there’ll always be more to explore and more questions to be asked - because human beigns, human society, gender and sexuality are complex like that;
I’m not going to lay the ground work for you, I have more shit to with my life lol But if you want my advice, I’d look into Study/Research Groups and/or courses in your local University(ies) on Gender and Sexuality, they are usually free to participate as an observer. That’s a good place to start.
Good luck on your quest bestie <3
i asked if u wanna be mutuals on anon first because ive noticed ppl dont follow back on tumblr even if you have similar interests + posts and so i wasnt sure how this works (i havent been on here since the 2010s). now im being told ppl dont rlly ask each other to be mutuals so this is embarrassing 😅 nevermind then
Omg in this case welcome back nonny!!
I think it changes from person to person, personally when someone follows me I usually check their blog out and if I'm interested on their posts and like their vibe I follow back. I also dont like to have my dashboard too clogged so sometimes I'll refrain from following back or unfollow people if I feel like I can't keep up anymore. Other times I don't follow back because the person is from the global north and I can be very gringophobic nonny, it's true I admit it, there's a limit to how many gringos I can stand having on my dash and if I've already reached that limit well shit luck I guess jsvjsbsksb
People don't tend to ask for follow back on tumblr because the number of followers you have in here simply isn't as big a deal as in other social medias, since you can't see how many followers other people have. That number is private. In fact, having too many followers on tumblr can be worse lol thats when you start getting the real weirdos in your inbox. I guess nowadays we just prefer to let it happen naturally??
If you want my advice, I'd say don't worry too much about it. Just post and reblog to your heart's desire and follow people u find cool and eventually the mutualships will come to you <3
All that being said, again I can't check out your blog let alone follow you back if idk who you are nonny!!! Just come off anon and let's chat! /o/
omg i saw your tags about tteokbokki and you should definitely try making it!! i have made it a few times, and it turned out pretty well!
omg really??? is it hard?? I've found a few recipes and I really wanna try my hand at making it now!!!! I'm just waiting to get my salary next week so I can buy the ingredients jsbsksbs
hi jade have you seen the anime no. 6?
Hii!! Yes I have!! I watched it a long time ago tho, back when the anime was comming out... I think I was still in high school at the time? Back then I watched the anime and read both the manga and the novels... So yeah, not at all obsessed with the thing as you can see lmaoo
It's a really good series tho, specially the novels which i revisited some time ago and was happly surprised to find they held up and were indeed as good as I remembered <3 They focus less on the romance than the manga/anime, but the plot is really good and i really like the societal critcism they make - they really give you a lot food for thought (the series has 9 novels and 2 or 3 extras if i'm not mistaken).
Another reason why I remember prefering the novels is that you don't get as much insight on the character's internal monologues and conflicts in the anime, which is an aspect I really liked from the novels but ended up getting lost in the visual media. I mean, that's kind of inevitable of course, but i really appreciated that aspect in the novels as it really ads to this story in particular :v
In any case, for anyone who's interested in reading the novels, they are available to read online and/or download for free at the Internet Archive!
NOVEL: No. 6
Idk what exactly you wanted to know nonny so I tried to give a spoiler free answer lol
But in resume: yes I have watched it, tho it's been a long time. From what I can remember, the anime is really good, but I have always prefered the novels. Still, I would 100% recommend all tree: the anime, the manga and the novels <3
