J-con 8 2015.
So this weekend I attended J-con 8, that was held in Derby UK. And had a great time, and got to show off another new cosplay. I arranged to meet friends at the Station for the 9:30am train, once we were all present and accounted for we were on our way. We got the train and was joined by another person also going to J-Con so he chatted with us, We also got chatting to a Furry that was going to a Birmingham furry meet, he had an amazing furry head. We arrived at Derby and took about a 10min walk to the venue where we were joined by fellow cosplayers that didn't know the way to the venue Once there we had to wait in one of the longest ques to get tickets, as we had missed the pre reg date. Luckily it was a nice (If not hot day.) We only had to wait an hr or so and we were in. Once in it was a little.. lacking compared to the last few years hardly any stalls but when stalls were there they had a decent amount of stuff covering a wide range of Anime and manga. We sat and watched the Lolita catwalk and masquared, that was massive this year, so many cosplays seemed to have a light up element to them but all so amazing. After that we had our traditional food at the local subway, and then headed back to the con and hung round for a while before deciding we had had enough and went to get the train home. For this convention I had made a new cosplay, Momma Sakura from the Boruto Movie that's not out yet XD. I have mixed feelings about the cosplay, some photos I like myself in it, and some others I don't. Im going to try and improve it better before I wear it again and hope I can like myself in it better. But on the whole I had a great day, was fun travailing with my friends, meeting up with others at the event and just having another day geeking out. The only down side I find is one day conventions are alot more tiring then a full weekend con. most likely because we have to cram everything into only a few hrs XD J-con also marks the end of Anime conventions for me for the year and it's been good. Made 4 new cosplays this year. Not 100% sure what im going to be work on for next year but some older one will be making an appearance, and I have a fun secret cosplay my friend and i have planned.
