Hi! I have a question that I hope you can answer.. During the FanExpo in Vancouver Jared said that he and Jensen lived together for 4 years…and that surprised me. Did he let slip something that they had never said? Haven't they always said that they lived together for a year, during season 4? Although I know there were rumors at the time that things were a little different… But they were just rumors. I also have in mind a recent Gold Panel where they talk about how much they lived together… Unfortunately I don't remember the dynamic in that case, but I think that Jared said something about the time they lived together and Jensen corrected him, maybe… I need to find the panel again because I could be wrong about that. Anyway, I don't think I'm the only one who noticed that Jared said "4 years" at the FanExpo. And I don't think it's plausible to think that he was wrong. Let's not kid ourselves, you can't confuse living with someone for a year with four years. It's very different!

In addition to the talk about living together for 4 years, I also find it perplexing to hear Jared say in the DC clip that him and Jensen stayed together during S5 (2009-10) as well. I would've thought mid and post mid S5 would be etched in Jared's memory because of his proposal (~Oct 2009), engagement (~Jan 2010) and wedding (Feb 2010). He sure talks enough about S4 being his favourite because that's the season he met his wife 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sorry, It's still me. One funny thing was that the guy was amused by fans' misconjecture, one of which I remember was the fact that the fans thought of Jensen as grumpy. Jensen is definitely very good at playing this act but anyone who knows him knows that it's a facade and a way of joking, which helped him cover up his shyness in the beginning. It's also a game that J2 bring to the stage. Like Jensen, Jared also has his part - it's a dynamic that works on stage. This guy told me that some fans would be surprised to know how sweet Jensen actually was. The funny thing is I remember Jim Beaver once describing him exactly the same way and I think it was Hilarie Burton who said recently during a podcast about how very feminine he is. It's actually a very classic thing, I myself put on a more grumpy mask on the outside but I'm actually a teddy bear on the inside, it's a way of defending myself. And I think Jensen has needed it in his career, Showbiz sucks and he's always been too handsome for his own good.

YES! It's all an act! Someone here called it the "mock diva and laconic grump" dynamic that J2 perfected very early on.

Jensen's shyness is quite well known too. Some would say he's reserved. Jensen himself said this in an interview to a Japanese magazine. (Original link seems broken)

"Yes, I'm very shy, but I do my best to work around it. I know it may seem strange for an actor, but acting is a good way of overcoming this trait. It gives me the opportunity to open up more to others. Also, Jared helps me with this. He has a lot on his plate, poor thing."
