Did anyone else ever remember thinking that the jabbawocke from A live action Alice in Wonderland was downright unsettling as a kid?
It was cool, sure, but aside from everything the movie had, this thing was basically a giant wack ass dragon the Queen just had her command. You know, the same Queen who has an army of comidical card sharped soldiers at her disposal, who plays Croquet with Flamingos for mallets and Hedgehogs for the balls? The same Queen who had a right hand man who looks alot like Severus Snape and frog butlers?
aside from the fact she also keeps a large cat monster, just seeing this thing appear in the end, showing how she just happens to have what could be the equivalence to a dark souls boss at the ready was weirdly terrifying as a kid
And not far after it appears in the movie, the jabbawocke's HEAD gets cut clean off!! I remember having nightmares of this thing afterwards as a kid for weeks.
And the worst part is that its not even what it actually looks like normally.
look at the comparison between Tim Burton's movie of it to how its actually depicted in the poem its from. One's a dragon you'd fight at the end of an epic quest while the other is something straight out of an urban legend.
Weird as crap nightmare fuel
