Warmth! Sun! Earlier this week it was snowing, today it feels like Spring.

It’s not quite bluebells and lambs out there yet, but frosty hearts can’t help but quicken at the sight of crocuses, after-6pm sunsets, the demise of February, Gardeners’ World back on telly….., faint traces of blue in the sky, the promise of living al fresco, intoxicating thoughts of summer.

I’m a window seat girl. Put me on a flight and I’ll have already pre-allocated myself to one of the tiny seats wedged up against the side of the plane, right next to the sky. Seats in the middle and aisle, particularly those in the middle of the middle aisle, prevent passengers from experiencing the visual awes of air travel.

Wistful about winter

  It’s eight days into January. It’s bloody freezing.  It’s dark at 4pm.  My credit card bill is due, and AmEx chooses to kick off my new year by encyclopaedically listing every Christmas indiscretion.

Girls, it’s gown time. The BHLDN Spring 2015 selection has flowered forth upon the web.

BHLDN (pronounced ‘beholden’) is the bridal initiative from Anthropologie launched in 2011. As a mostly online retailer, the website carefully maintains a ‘destination’ feel with dreamy photography and whimsical dresses, accessories and decorations photographed on soft blush backgrounds.
