Headcanon: Jacks likes to chirp Bitty about Señor Bun, but nine times out of ten it's Jack who's cuddled up with it by morning time.

jack would obviously never admit it, and he pretends to be blissfully unaware of the photos in bitty’s phone (and the ones that mysteriously appeared in their friends’ phones as well) 

it reminds jack of bitty, and more importantly, it’s something that’s given bitty comfort in the past, and that’s… well, that’s huge for jack, because over the past few years, jack’s grown more and more protective of bitty (for obvious reasons) 

it’s the end of jack’s second season in the nhl when the falconers lose their shot at the cup during the semi-finals 

it’s a particularly hard blow for jack, especially since the media had done nothing but play up his legacy as bad bob’s son the entire season.  he knows he and the team did a great job, and he knows that there’s always next year, but he’s come so close and his anxiety hits him like a freight train.  he can barely string a sentence together in front of the press, and all he wants is to see bitty–except bitty was stuck at samwell because of finals, and the thought that even he won’t be able to get that hurts like fucking hell 

he shoots a quick text to his parents, shitty, lardo, ransom and holster and even suzanne (who had managed to fly down last minute, while richard had a school event he couldn’t get out of) that he’ll meet them back at the hotel before he goes back to the locker room to freshen up.  he gets lost in his head for a while, and before he knows it, he’s been standing under the shower head for a full thirty minutes.  he dries off, gets dressed, and heads back to the hotel 

his friends immediately tackle him to the ground in a massive bear hug the second he steps foot in the lobby while bob, alicia and suzanne record the whole event on their phones to send to bitty. jack immediately feels better, and even though there’s a part of him that still aches for bitty’s presence, he’s still got the others 

later, after dinner and the festivities, lardo hands jack an unassuming brown paper gift bag from bitty, and when jack opens it and sees what’s inside, he can’t help but laugh 

he calls bitty the second he gets back to his hotel room, and that night, he curls up under the covers with senor bunny clutched to his chest and bitty’s voice in his ear and he feels at peace

SO I read the whole comic a couple of months ago and then I kind of forgot about it a little bit since it hadn’t been updated, but then I saw you and bicanthrope  talking about it recently and I HAD TO RE-READ. AND THEN GO THROUGH ALL THE EXTRAS. 

OKAY FAVORITE THINGS

1. RANSOM AND HOLSTER ARE SERIOUSLY THE BEST AND I WANT TO BE THEIR BRO

2. I AM IN LOVE WITH JACK ZIMMERMAN BUT HE IS IN LOVE WITH ERIC BITTLE AND I AM COMPLETELY OKAY WITH THAT (of course Bitty is so OBLIVIOUS like COME ON DICKY HE LOOKS AT YOU LIKE YOU’RE AN ANGEL OR LIKE A FRESH BAKED PIE)

3. LARDO IS SUCH A BAMF AND I ALSO WANT TO BE BROS WITH HER. WHEN SHE BEAT KENT PARSON (aka the actual WORST) at BEER PONG (or was it flip cup? idk) SHE BECAME MY ACTUAL HERO

4. SHITTY AND LARDO 5EVA (like PLEASE). I ALMOST CRIED WHEN HE GAVE HIS DIBS TO LARDO. OH MY GOD. THEY ARE SO CUTE AND I CAN’T DEAL AND I DON’T WANT HIM TO GRADUATE!!!! UGHHHHH. (also who is Jack going to give his dibs to? CHOWDER? or is he going to be annoyingly diplomatic and put it into the lottery? IMPORTANT QUESTIONS)

5. SHITTY MOTHER EFFIN KNIGHT. First of all, the extras about him being Hillary Knight’s brother were just FABULOUS. I am also totally into him even though the hair (flow whatever) and the mustache are just UGH. AND HE’S ALWAYS NAKED AND WEARING AMERICAN FLAG SHIT AND JUST THE BEST

6. Bitty with the SWEATERS and THE PIES and MAKING LUNCH FOR THE FROGS and SNEAKING INTO THEIR ROOMS WHEN THEY ARE SICK. basically everything Bitty does is my favorite thing. ALSO THE SINGING IN THE SHOWER AND JACK YELLING AT HIM HELP ME
