You and Pilot weren’t anything special, completely casual, no real plans of getting serious.

So, when he asked if you wanted to go on a days long road trip, last minute, with a friend you’d only heard about through word of mouth, the answer should’ve been obvious:

And yet, here you are, crammed into the back of a 1974 Chevrolet, Jack driving, Pilot in the passenger seat, the two of them bickering like an old married couple.

“Just pull into that Amoco, it's way cheaper there,” Pilot says, elbow on the center console. “Everybody knows Texaco is better,” Jack retorts, white knuckling the wheel. “Besides, Amoco probably waters down their fuel.” You open your mouth to say something, but the car swerves suddenly, gravel crunching under the tires as he pulls into the lot of a run-down motel. "Seriously?" Kelson adds,

The engine cuts. Silence settles, "My God, Kelson, I'm sick of your bullshit." he mutters through pursed lips, already pushing his door open. "I'm getting a room here, even if it takes a bit of begging,"

It looks as if Kelson is trying to think up some sort of comeback, but the incisive nature of Jack's words have already ended the argument, and are punctuated by the sound of a slamming car door.

Pilot tries flipping through a few radio channels to fill the awkward static that was left between the two of you, which doesn't help at all. The silence feels almost louder. With no grace at all, you climb over the center console, seating yourself where Jack once was. "Hey," Pilot starts, eyes glancing over at you, a boyish grin spread across his face, "Who invited you up here?"

"Oh, please," is all that you can get out before turning off the radio completely, "That thing makes the silence worse."

Jack x Pilot Headcanons

The two would be so nonchalant with each other. Neither of them wants to seem ‘fruity’ or ‘feminine’ so they call each other bro and man instead of romantic pet names

^ sometimes sweet names slip out though like sweetheart or baby and they get really embarrassed

Pilot is like the mum in the relationship. He is always telling Jack off and scolding him

Jack figured out that Pilot was gay first. Pilot is an oblivious idiot and was just convinced he hadn’t found the right woman yet

pilots gay awakening was when he went to the beach one time with a group of guys and Jack and one of the older boys lifted Pilot onto his shoulders. He got really shy and excited being on such a buff guys shoulders

^ he didn’t realise he was feeling attraction though, he just thought it was the adrenaline of going on somebodies shoulders and fighting in the water lmao

Jack is bisexual and Pilot is gay

Pilot likes to sneakily wear Jack’s clothes. It’s just little things, like his cut up shirts or rings he wears, or maybe shoes time to time

Pilot loves kisses and cuddles and holding hands. He just loves sweet short stuff. He likes little pecks on the cheek or the forehead, linking pinkies together, bumping hips

Pilot is definitely a pillow prince…he loves being taken care of and being sweet talked

The two are more like…unofficial boyfriends. They act sweet together and kiss and act all close. They are closer than friends but not fully together

Every morning Jack watches Pilot get ready. Jack likes to wake up early and he always watches Pilot sleep. Sometimes he touches his hair and strokes his head and scalp when he’s asleep. Pilot finds it soothing

the two are always teasing each other. They are always making each other embarrassed or fucking with the other

Jack’s way of showing affection is words of affirmation and touch. He’ll pull Pilot against him or rub his hip or touch his legs. Or maybe he’ll whisper in his ear or tease him quietly

Pilot is way more relaxed than Jack. Jack is always possessive and overprotective of Pilot. He gets jealous of everybody

Pilot makes Jack come with him and buy classic rock CDs. They listen to Guns N Roses and Motley Crue and Alice In Chains together

Pilot cried when he came out to Jack. He was really scared and confused and he didn’t wanna be gay. Jack was super supportive though
