Game Blog - Jack is Missing
Let me just start off by saying sometimes I really wonder why some things exist the way they do. If this game was meant to be a serious one; which I highly doubt for some reason, it may have missed the mark on that just a bit. It had a good start to be honest for a concept of “you thought you got away with killing someone only to have the dead have other plans” sort of thing. As a concept it wasn’t bad. Unfortunately it’s execution though was a little lackluster. Now, I get that games are hard to make generally, but I also don’t think this game was meant to be a more serious horror. Dark Humor perhaps but not among the threat filled terror a more serious horror game may invoke in a person. The graphics to me were fine.
There were a few jump scares and though the jump scares were decent, they definitely could have been a bit more polished if intended to be more seriously intended. I found certain parts a little confusing in the story’s execution and the controls were pretty straight so not bad on that scale. The voice acting was a little flat so that took a little away from the overall immersion but still an amusing game. I know it sounds like I’m speaking ill of it, but to be honest I actually did enjoy playing it as more of a dark humor sort of game rather than an anxiety inducing experience to make my heart race and my nightmare fuel intake increase for inspiration. The overall visuals gave me a couple ideas so not a bad experience for a short story kind of game. If you’re looking for something like this feel free to check it out for yourself.

That’s all I have to say for now. Have a spooky day.
