Tonight, Paul Weller plays Huxleys Neue Welt. It's nice to welcome the Modfather back as he promotes his upcoming album, "More Modern Classics," but it's even nicer to see that he's bringing some homegrown talent to accompany him. Gallery 47, the moniker of shy and angelically voiced singer-songwriter Jack Peachey, is already a beloved feature on the Midlands gig circuit, and this international guest slot is more than well-deserved. Peachey has dallied with mainstream success before, landing BBC performances, Guardian reviews, and myriad appearances on Brit festival stages. His distinctive, poignant storytelling creates a nostalgic warmth reminiscent of a lazy summer evening, and this combined with picked guitars and abstract, philosophical lyrics creates a heady mix indeed.
