Jack had been trying to practice the dance moves that the woman had showed him during the Day of the Brothers. Still trying to figure them out, he concentrated hard while standing in front of his brother's shoppe since Jack didn't have any deliveries at the moment.
Icarus // Cynwrig & Jack
It was cold, like always, but today Jack felt it a bit more. One of the candles fell this morning and burned a hole in his jacket. He wanted to repair it but he didn't have the any sort of way to pay for the cloth and thread to get it fixed. His brother usually did so whenever Jack messed up his clothing. He could already see the reaction from Orrin whenever he would see the hole. It wasn't small but it wasn't too big to wear the jacket was unwearable.
Pulling out his flute and holding it to his lips, he decided that wallowing about his jacket won't help the situation. Instead, he decided to play some music to bring his spirits up. He sat on the fountain, he continued to play and smiled behind his flute since he saw others doing so as well. He loved his power more than anything...but he would still love to hear what he sounded like.
Shake It Out // Isa & Jack
Sitting atop his brother's shoppe's roof, Jack held his flute in his hands while he thought of the entire kingdom. It was massive and the fact that he couldn't hear the birds nor the bustling merchants below seemed to really get to him today. Maybe it was because he was realizing how hard it was to communicate with people...or because his brother kept him close. He understood that the older Quint would worry but Jack was fine. He was getting older. Either way, Jack wanted a bit of space from Orrin today.
Placing his flute to his lips, he started to play a soft and peaceful melody in order to ease those who heard it. It didn't help him much but he knew if he saw one smile right now, well, it would be worth it.
HEADCANON: Quint Candles Delivery
Jack, instead of being forced to sit with his brother at the shoppe or at home, he does deliveries as a bit of a punishment for wandering off. Mostly, though, he delivers to the Barn and places that can't easily pick up candles. He doesn't get any wealth out of it but he feels at least he gets to go and roam...somewhat.
Paint It, Black // Open
He was stuck in the marketplace while his brother worked at his candle shoppe since Jack got caught trying to leave...again. All he wanted to do was go and see the witch out in the Wastes. That was it. It wasn't as if Jack was going to go and fool around with the Fey. Huffing in irritation, Jack sat there with his flute and decided to play out his frustrations. But, just as he was about to, he remembered that people ended up feeling his emotions through his music. Bollocks.
Deciding to read instead, he dug around his bag for his book but realized he didn't bring one. Asking his brother if he could go get a book, he walked out of his shop and made his way through the marketplace to go get a big. But, just as he was leaving, he didn't hear someone shout "WATCH OUT" and got hit by a running dog. Falling to his backside, he looked around to see what happened but only saw a blur of black fur take off and a man running after it. Looking down and seeing the mud around him, he groaned and stood up, trying to clean off the snow and mud from his back and his backside.
