Shake It Out // Isa & Jack
Isa grinned as he repeated the gestures in turn. She even laughed a little at the tune that he played for his excitement was soon affecting her. There were so many things she wanted to tell him, although unsure of which gesture to use, nor which word was appropriate for what gesture. Then of course there was a matter of how long one mere sentence would take to communicate, and the reassurance that they were both on the same page.
Isa shuffled on her spot on the roof rearranging herself as so she could sit directly in front of him. If there were going to talk at all they need to figure out what gesture was related to which word. The more Isa thought about it the more excited she became, it was as if she was inventing her very own language using her hands. “Alright, here goes nothing,” she muttered to herself. Then to Jack she said, “look,” she looked pointed to her eyes. “We,” she gestured to both of them. “Have. To," she held up two fingers. "Figure. Out," she tapped her temple. “This," she pointed to her hand and wiggled it some. "So. We," she gestured to both of them once more. “Can. Talk."  She made talking gestures with her hands. "See?"Â
Truth be told, Isa herself wasn’t sure whether her gestures made half as much sense as she thought it did.
Jack clapped at her obvious enthusiasm for their situation but he wasn't about to get too worked up. They were on a roof and he honestly didn't want to fall to his end. Looking to her, he smiled and clapped once before holding out a hand to her side as she adjusted herself on the roof. Just like himself, he didn't want her to fall and meet with Frey. Though, as he held out his hand, he noticed how her hands started to move and gesture.
Oh! She was using her own gestures to communicate! Clapping again and nodding at each movement of her hands, he furrowed his brows in thought as he processed what she was trying to tell him. Thinking and talking...and the both of them? Thinking a bit longer as he started repeating her gestures, he processed it and it finally clicked. Snapping his right fingers, he nodded repeatedly as he put it all together. She wanted to make a gesturing type language for the both of them! Nodding rapidly a few times to show that he appreciated it, he gestured to her before tapping his own temple with a bright smile. What he was trying to convey was that he thought that she was smart.
