Open Starter - Practice Makes Perfect

Jack let out a loud groan of frustration at yet another failed attempt to use his powers to grow a lemon tree. His latest attempt looking like a child’s silly-straw with how it twisted and turned in on itself.

He had been out here practicing for hours, as evidenced by the rest of his failures strewn about the park. He just prayed no one would walk by and notice all these before he left. He had timed it so not many people would be around, and picked a fairly hidden spot to practice, too, but there was no guarantee.

Jack realized he had already spent too long out here, so he grabbed his backpack and slung it over his shoulder, and turned to leave the way he came. But when he did, he was met by someone standing close by. The young man leaped back in surprise. Oh god, did.... did they...? “D-did you see all that?“ He asked, voice pitching up with panic.
