△ Well I have been quietly standing in the shade, all of my days...
The Past:
Before Neverland, Jack was a respectable gentleman living in nineteenth century England. Starkey lived at home, traveling into town to teach English at an all boy’s school. He had a comfortable life; both parents still lived, along with his two younger sisters, Eloise and Rose, and one older brother, Isaac. The eldest was married to Eleanor, who was pregnant with their second child when Isaac went off to war. The skirmish was with a neighboring village, and their parents had wanted both boys to fight; however, while Isaac had a crippling sense of duty to his family, Jack had one toward his work, and remained behind while Isaac went to fight. When a telegram arrived announcing that Isaac had been killed in battle, a crack shocked through the entire Starkey family. Jack, always doing the proper thing, even in times of grief, looked after his brother’s wife and children, as Eleanor had no living relations. As time passed, care turned to affection, and Jack took on the role of husband. That is, until Isaac returned, claiming to have escaped capture of the enemy.
Jack was devastated; torn from fighting for Eleanor, (and their unborn child), and stepping aside for his brother. Of course, Jack chose the latter, convincing Eleanor to sleep with Isaac, and to pass the child off as his, (it was quite early on in the pregnancy). However, this would not come to pass. A month later, Eleanor, her two children, and her third unborn baby were brutally attacked in their own home, and Isaac was once again missing. The evidence surrounding the murders were mysterious; their mangled bodies looked like a savage animal had been at their throats. Jack tried to move on, but his grief was too much, and soon, he was headed to the sea to start a new life in America. Little did he know, a ship called the Jolly Roger had a position for him, and instead of a new land, it was the sea to where Jack had been called.
Now:
For over four hundred years, Jack Starkey has traveled with Captain Hook. He is one of the most loyal members of Hook’s crew, willing to do nearly anything the Captain orders; however, Jack usually hesitates killing or capturing any of the Lost Boys on sight when he’s on his own, using his own judgment on the matter (unless Hook has been specific in which child). Jack still sometimes grieves for Eleanor, the children, and his own unborn child, and thinks about his brother every day. It all happened so long ago, he assumes Isaac to be dead. If only he knew what really became of the other Starkey boy.

Personality:
+ Gentlemanly, Logical, Kind
- Over trusting, Jealous, Bad Temper When Pushed
Relationships:
CAPTAIN HOOK- James Hook is Jack’s Captain. The two are somewhat close, however Starkey doesn’t feel like he can be completely open with the man. He looks up to Hook immensely, sometimes allowing the admiration to blind his own conscience and judgment.
ISAAC STARKEY- Jack has no idea that his brother is, in fact, alive, and lurking in the woods, feeding on passers by. There’s no telling what will transpire if he discovers Isaac’s secrets, or what he has become. As children they were thick as thieves, often playing for hours after chores, and sticking up for each other, and while there was a bit of uncomfortable feeling when Isaac ‘came back from the dead’ home to his wife, their early memories are what Jack clings to.
