James Hook, the feared captain of the daunting Jolly Roger, was once thought to be dead. It had been safe to assume so; he’d been swallowed whole by a crocodile. However, the man was not quite settled with dying, and three days later, in the belly of the beast, James clawed his way out, dragging the bloodied hide of the demon with him. 

The history of Hook and Pan is a long and violent one, starting from the first time the captain came to the Neverland. While Peter chooses to believe that the captain is only after him for taking his hand, the boy has taken much more from Hook than that. He is responsible for the death of Hook’s wife, and on a whim, Peter had convinced the pirate’s daughter to come be a lost boy. When confronted with the whereabouts of Hook’s daughter, Pan simply said ‘who?’, which has led James to the correct assumption that Peter had either killed, or banished her. 

While it seemed to many that he had given up his grudge upon falling to the beast, Hook’s bloodlust for the spritely boy who’s cost him everything dear in his life has been restored, and he runs his ship with as much venom as the days of old. Working under the infamous captain is not for the faint of heart.

Life before the Jolly Roger was wretched to Sam Bones. Growing up on the streets, he was picked on by just about everyone, and learned at a young age that anything he got in life, would be because he took it. As taught to him through experiences with drug lords and gang members, respect only came to those that people feared, and when he grew up, he was determined to be feared by all. One night, however, Sam picked a fight with the wrong guy; suddenly three men came to back up a member of the city’s most vicious gangs jumped him. He realized that if he was to be taken seriously, he needed someone in his corner. Funny, the things that come to you when you’re being beaten to a pulp in a puddle of your own blood. He thought for sure he was going to die, when a gunshot resounded, and pummeling stopped. James Hook saved him that day, pulled him from slums, and gave him a new life, and Sam vowed never to forget it.

Luisa, better known as Lulu, had been born into wealth and royalty. Along with her twin brother, Lucas, she received an extensive education from a young age, with lessons mainly focused on one day ruling the kingdom. Their kingdom was a small one, located near Cape Town, South Africa. The responsibility weighed heavily on her shoulders, as her parents had made it clear that one day she would be the one to take the throne; Lulu decided early on, that she was not at all interested in ruling. To prove to her overbearing parents that she was not the twin for the job, Lulu began to push back; what began as simple rebellion became a lifestyle. She longed for freedom.

One evening, on a routine sneak out of the palace, Luisa made a spur of the moment decision to sail away on a passing pirate ship, having been immediately taken with the Captain’s son, Blake. Years later, Lulu lives on the Neverland in a little shack with her pirate beau. Although she’d never had less in her life, the island was rich with adventure.

Rory was thirteen when her parents were cruelly taken from her by a group of gangsters. Up until that point in her life, she was blissfully unaware that life wasn’t always fair, and that people were corrupt. She witnessed their torture and murder, forced to look on after being tied up in a chair in the corner of the room. She was eventually found by a search team, abused and half starved, covered in her parents blood. After that, some thought she’d go mad, but she grew up fairly normal, living with an aunt in uncle in the English country side. It was to everyone’s surprise when she, at 17, joined up with a pirate crew and went after the men who slaughtered her parents. James Hook took her in as a member of the crew after she proved to be quite an affectionate friend, promising to help her avenge her parents. Shortly after Aurora joined the crew, she acquired a rather promiscuous reputation, and while she enjoys herself as much as the men she accompanies, there is an aching in her; an aching for family, for friends, and for love. She hopes that she’ll settle down and actually find happiness, and something to fill the hole her parent’s deaths left behind. The girl is generally peaceful, but if you wrong her or any of her friends, you’ll pay.
