A New Dilemma.
"I only answer to ONE mortal and you are CERTAINLY not them."
The words echoed in the Magister's mind as he sat around a table, flicking the tip of his pen lightly against a notebok of paperwork. He had about lost his temper again, how he had managed to keep Faeron (let alone himself) from gouging Grexan's eyes out had been beyond him.
The Wolves were involved.... It unsettled him completely.
While Jackary was supposed to be paying mind to his meeting, his attention was failing, trailing back to Zi sprinting up to him from the shadows... That sick, panicked look for help stuck on his face. He had watched Andriel 'handle' the situation, but the way she did was a clear sign that she would never make his status within their team.
So, he did what he did best. He threw himself on the front line to stand between his family and the newest enemy.
Twelve names. Twelve people that he had likely seen, yet only four he personally knew. They were all being investigated for attempted murder.... Yet no one, not even the She-Wolf General would give him the information he needed.
No, instead he had finally called Grexan a child and told him that the adults were speaking after he'd been threatened to be locked up and assaulted four times. He had a bow drawn on him, he had been outnumbered, insulted, threatened and then cornered... Grexan had accused him of hanus things. He'd attempted to put words into Jack's mouth and all for what? Someone was being framed for murder, he was sure of it.
The names of each twelve that he recalled so vividly rolled over his tongue through closed lips as if saying every vowel would cast a spell of clarity to understand... The only four he knew had been two Forsaken, a Troll and an Orc... But what of the others? Had this been another racist act?
Fingers reached up to toy with the feather that was normally on his right ear, but when the digits clasped at nothing but air, he was reminded that it was gone.
Ah, right...
He had given the matching earring to Gentil the morning he found his partner sitting on the edge of the Ghostlands. They hadn't been together at the time, but it was still a monumental gift. Gentil would likely never know the story behind the feather he'd been given, nor would Jack speak of it's importance in his life for in his mind, the Priest was worthy enough to touch it, let alone keep it.
For a man who paid close attention to detail, Jackary had begun to let his thoughts drift from his anger an anxiety over a meeting he declared to be had with the Wolves, sans Grexan upon request. Had Gentil continued to wear it? He couldn't even recall if he'd seen it since watching the small figure clasp it on that morning.
He had almost felt silly, having lavished the Priest as any other did with gifts and trinkets; he had been surprised that Gentil still wore the charm, although his doubt-filled mind chalked it up to the shared bracelet it helped decorate.
"Jackary," came a voice in which his thoughts snapped from wanting to see his counterpart again as eyes focused straight towards Khadgar.
Jack's fingers had clasped his own necklace firmly to toy with the claw that hung there just to stall a bit of time. "I'm... Sorry, Khadgar." He replied, lowering his gaze in mild embarrassment that he had distracted the others from the meeting.
"You were mumbling names..."
"Was I? I apologize... I've been working with new people and was attempting to recall their names to remember them... I suppose I accidentally began to recite them outloud." It was a flawless cover-up in which he dipped the cherry on top with that ever charming smile the Mage owned.
Janus, Anselem, Oderi, Hellskull, Sebias, Elyza, Eattriel, Rel'ja, Vendrisa, Zi, Ador'lordian, Yingzao...
Four he felt were already innocent, eight more he could have believed were being framed, too.
The Zandalari's Return.
"Could you not?!" came in an irritated whine, the owner of the voice stood there in a posture that screamed irritation. Jackary folded his arms with a scowl, his form drenched in sweat as he sported nothing but his knee-length pants which was startling in Frostfire, even for a Frost Mage.
"Come on, spar with me." called out a second voice from a near chipper Rogue who had forsaken his own shirt to cool down from their rigorous work out. "Do it, or I'll flick your ear again, hn?"
Jack's eyes rolled as his arms dropped, shoulders slumped in defeat. "I'm tired, Kit... We've been at this all night. At LEAST since East left for some weird Dinner plans!"
"I would think you'd want to keep your mind off it for a while," the Rogue replied arching his body when arms lifted above his head to stretch the sore muscle. "I'm sure that guy had a life before you bashed into him. You're not jealous, are you?"
"I didn't bash into him..." Jack puffed in defense. "I merely almost ran into him because the ground was slippery in tar and I wasn't watching where I was going. And for the record, I'm not jealous!"
"Uh-huh..." Loki crooned, glancing over the muscular figure of his cousin. ""Speaking of dinner, you should eat Jack... You're gettin' skinny again."
A low grumble of defiance left the Magister before his head rolled back to let out a noise of frustration. "Augh! Are you going to pick on me ALL night?"
"Only until you fling a few spells for sport!"
As the two bickered, a subtle shadow approached, the silhouette of a large figure eased into view to watch the two. Slowly, the faintly shaking body would ease down to sit on hind haunches, revealing himself within the natural lights of the fiery enclave, yet he dared not say a word. Instead, a faint, fond smile tugged on his lips while ears listened.
The Troll that watched had seen better days, his Prime long since passed, hair white as the snows that surrounded them. Wrinkles adorned his face, his hands gripped the staff that helped walk him to the noises of the two while gentle, kind eyes tiredly glanced to each male.
As the Rogue began to rile the Mage up even further, the elderly Druid finally piped up, his voice slightly raspy but very much soothingly. "If'n ya boys be done arguin'... Eiddah kiss n' make up, or ya best be gettin' ta da fightin'."
Both Lokitan and Jackary stopped, instantly directing their attentions to the Zandalari who had been watching them for whoever knew how long.
"Sukkul!" Jack chirped happily and smiled, instantly brightening up in which he began to dash forward. Lokitan had trailed behind in casual steps, smiling to himself to see just how excited his cousin became around the troll.
"Jackalope... " Sukkul greeted warmly, nearly toppling over with a grunt once the blond all but pounced and clung on. Fingers would pat the boy on the back before he held the Mage, his lethargic gaze rolled towards the approaching Rogue.
"Sukkul..." Loki greeted in a near meek tone. Having been away from their mentor for so long, he had just then realized how old the Troll had become. The subtle hints of the world and time catching up had become obvious, but instead of gawking, Loki forced a smile.
A hand motioned for the smallest to join in the hug and soon the Zandalari held both dragons within his arms, squeezing as a nurturing parent would their young children. "Ah, boys..." Came a heartfelt whisper.
"Oh, man!" Jack all but squawked and pulled back, nothing but smiles dashed across his charming face. "Tell me you're staying?! Oh pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase?! Please please pleasepleaseplease!"
Sukkul could help but throw his head back and let out a hearty bout of laughter. "Ya ya..." He nodded, ruffling the long tresses of hair to assure the male. "Ah be stayin' fo' a while."
"Yeeees! That means we can start training again!" Jack threw his hands up in excitement, grinning to the point where sharpened fangs were exposed in delight.
"Oh now you want to train..." Loki groaned, finally pulling away from the elderly Troll to allow him a bit of breathing room. "You should rest first, Old Man..." The name was spoken in honesty but also out of the way a bratty teen would speak to his father that he truly did respect.
As much as Sukkul did agree, it was obvious that Jack had forgotten, or perhaps didn't even notice that their mentor was aging. Instead he was an endless pit of energy, happy to finally see the Zandalari known as Sukkul Flamedancer once more.
Oh, the stories that Jack had to share with the male he looked up to as his father figure.
The Reports.
It had been a nearly relaxing evening after a rough start and all around business attitude mid-afternoon. There had been a hand-picked team by the Magister himself to return to where he could not and obtain the information he needed to continue on with what he needed to. Once his team had been chosen, Jack had removed himself from the city, he knew there was something he needed to do in order to ease his own mind.
Jack had dragged Gentil out with him into the fields, into the real world beyond the walls of the city and easy patients with broken noses or minor cuts. He'd taken Gentil out to train, to survive... To hunt. Dragon instinct had caressed a part of his brain that he hadn't thought of in ages. His partner wasn't savvy within the world of violence and if something dreadful were to happen, that deep protective notion needed to be sated into knowing that the Priest could easily survive without so much as a map.
Hours were spent with the Priest, teaching him how to read the land and how to work with it, clues to help the directional-impaired mate of Jack and by the time they took a break, albeit grime-covered and scratched to hell, Gentil had grown tenfold in knowledge and understanding.
Rewarded with tea, their early evening was spent together with their idle, playful banter and soon, Jack escorted his beloved Priest home to let him rest. His soft smile faded into nothing more than a business-as-usual glare the moment Gentil was out of his view, he had needed to focus on what he started that morning.
What had greeted him the moment he was back in the city however, was a courier who approached him, handing him two letters. Eyes glanced over the envelopes, one clearly marked with the symbol of a Zandalari troll, the other completely blank. More interested in the letter from his comrade and teammate, Jack was swift to pull the thick amount of papers from the pouch.
Eyes glanced over some of the images that were copied within the Troll's writing and sketches, different symbols in Zandalari versus another Troll language, Jack could only stare fascinated.
"Sukkul you beautiful, beautiful troll..." He murmured to himself in a pleased manner at all of the information he was handed. He shuffled through the papers until he came to a very formal letter, more so the report written with such detail. Jack moved to sit himself down on a bench, letting the papers rest in his lap to read.

Command Order: 1098B-2 Issued by: Jackary Chaoti Rank: Guardian Status: Complete Objective: Take assigned team into Atal'Hakkar and recover drawings, translations, any type of information and tablet sketches of all items of importance found within the Temple pertaining to dragons or "Greenblades".
Assigned Team:
Rel'ja [Hunter][Jungle Troll][M] - Companion, Emerald Raptor [SAN], Assist. Z [Rogue][Forsaken][M] - Investigations, Lookout, Scout. Sebias [Mage][Forsaken][M] - Language Knowledge, Script, Chemist. Andriel Chaoti [Warlock][Sin'dorei][F] - Script, Magic, Spells. Faeron [Rogue][??][M] - Investigations, Lookout, Scout. Sukkul Flamedancer [Druid][Zandalari Troll][M] - Translation, Script. Broder [Warlock][Black Dragonflight][M] - Script, Assist.
Assigned team gathered within Silvermoon City at the steps of Sunfury Spire, some names that were on the list to come with never showed, team decided to not wait any longer. [SEBIAS] created a portal for transportation to Stonard.
After equipment check and briefing on the mission,, the team arrived at the entry to [ATAL'HAKKAR], now known as the [SUNKEN TEMPLE]. Greeted by [ITHARIUS] at the entry, the team descended. Entry hall was flooded, assured equipment would stay dry in enchanted containers and proceeded to submerge. Noted that water was murky and cold by many.
Surfacing, the initial room had fresh flesh and bones on the alters, a sign that there is life in the locked away Temple. After drying important equipment, team pressed on through the first narrow corridor.
Next room littered with bones, three Corrupt [GREEN] Dragonkin stood on guard. Order issued by [SUKKUL] to terminate, reasoning: No dragon deserves such cruel fate. Status: Executed.
Continued deeper into the catacombs, scouts moved ahead. Discovered a sacrificial room with a troll working. Order issued by [ALL] to terminate, reasoning: Potential knowledge, harm to dragons. Status: Executed.
Room contained eight [8] adolescent [GREEN] drakes, all bled dry. Fresh, scales still warm. Other corpses included three [3] Trolls, two [2] serpents and several other indistinguishable bones. [ANDRIEL] and [SEBIAS] obtained information and sketches regarding bones and items on the walls and table.
Confirmed, none of these dragons were [JACKARY CHAOTI].
[Z] noted the room "smelled of magic, necromatic, Warlock".
Continued further, next corridor contained five [5] tablets of ancient Troll script, two [2] recently touched. Dust removed. [ANDRIEL] and [SEBIAS] obtained exact etchings of all. Voodoo mask noticed on wall, scouts went ahead. Return with report of [EGGS] of serpent nature, suggested [GREEN] Dragonflight.
Investigated, discovered that corridor guarded with mummified [ATAL'LI TROLLS]. Further investigation revealed a Hatchery guarded by giant [SNAKES], Cobras, spitters. Room contains at least fifty [50] Dragon eggs, all dark and appear corrupt. One [TROLL] in the center of the Hatchery.
Hatchery Troll Status: [ALIVE], reason: Uncertain his relation to surrounding clutches, [ALL] agreed to inform the Dragons and allow them to decide the fate of the eggs and the Troll.
Final corridor concluded to be a worshiping altar, [ATAL'LI] still in the room. Found two [2] LARGE Troll scripture tablets, one with dried [BLOOD] and an [UNKNOWN CORROSIVE ESSENCE], later to be concluded as [DRACONIC ACID].
All indications of previous team entering are confirmed.
[JACKARY CHAOTI]'s blood confirmed.
Subject settled to understanding [JACKARY] suffered severe hallucinations and corruption, physical evidence of a struggle apparent. [FAERON] became unresponsive upon questioning.
[ANDRIEL] obtained a copy of the tablet where [BLOOD] and [ACID] were located after [SEBIAS] cleansed it. Raptor companion [SAN] hovered in front of a lost tablet, conclusions are that the tablet had the same scent the Raptor was asked previously to obtain from the room with the [DEAD DRAGONS]. Obtained tablet information, backtracked to the flooded entry.
[REL'JA] noted seeing images while swimming into the entry. After assuring safety of equipment, team dove to examine underwater ruins. Shattered pillar in the center of the room, four identical symbols of what appears to be a [SUN] either [RISING] or [SETTING] into waves of [WATER]. Team speculated that they are signs of the rebirth of [HAKKAR].
Jack frowned to himself as he continued to look through the words, flipping the basic report of events to reveal the Troll's handwriting on another stack of papers. He sighed and leaned back against the bench, getting comfortable.
Jackary,
Within this envelope, I have gathered information for you concerning your recent request. I have taken the time to give you paperwork on the differences of tribes and their writing styles in hopes that it may help you. Consider it that stone thing you once told me about with all of the different languages.
The team you requests did well, although I fear we were missing at least one member, but we did not wish to wait any longer. I am aware that Andriel and Sebias are likely looking over the notes they obtained before they give you a copy, thus this folder is only of what I was able to pull from the excursion.
You were correct in the sacrificing of Emerald Dragons within the tombs, however if what you say is true in that there were seven when you first went there... We found eight, fresh. Either seven of those have been bleeding since last week, or they've obtained a new amount and a new man to slay them.. However, there were mummified corpses walking around down there, the voodoo of that place is not something to be toyed with.
I want to note something about the final tablet we found and tried to read. I am unsure if you are aware of your Lore on Azeroth, hopefully far better than our Leader's is, but it was Ysera that stopped the Gurubashi Priests (later known as the Atal'li) from using a strange type of blood magic to resurrect Hakkar. I can only assume the anger towards Green Dragons stems from her nearly crushing the entire temple.
The text on the final tablet spoke about whoever brings back Hakkar, will gain immortality. I want to throw an idea out at you that I want you to carefully consider when working with these other dragons in Azeroth. Their immortality was taken from them against their will at the single word of their Aspects. I know that many are likely not pleased with this. It would be wise to keep in mind that some dragons are corrupt enough to kill each other, as it's been seen in history... To sacrifice a few to regain their immortality would be nothing but a speck of dirt under a fingernail to them.
I should also mention that the team said the Rogue member "Z" was acting odd the whole time we were there. I do not know his personality, but it's something to watch out for. If he brought something back from the Temple, then there could be a severe problem on your hands.
Loki has requested that I stay near for the time being, he talked to me about your aggression lately with some other Chaoti. I hope everything is okay with you, I know you have always had a struggle with emotions and past relationships. However, I did see you with a cute little elf the other night. I apologize if I could not tell whether it was a boy or a girl though. I am sure they are lovely if you look at them that way.
Until paths cross,
-Sukkul Flamedancer
Jack rolled his eyes at a few moments in the letter, but the ending had caused his fangs to gently bite at his lower lip in a slight shy, but amused manner. The papers were set down then and the unmarked letter was lifted to be opened, however when he began to pull it out, a bout of yelling from across the exchange caught his attention and the letter was temporarily lost to him.
The Fight.
I woke up to someone calling my name, Faeron was warm and in my lap... It was a comforting sleep. For a moment, I had almost hoped it was the soft voice of my Sunlight, however I was easily mistaken. Saniran pulled me from my spot and lead me downstairs from Aeli's room only to start going off on how I needed to stay away from Aeli, I was stressing her out.
As he went on and I started to wake up, everything finally just came to a head. I had only showed up last night at Aeli's place to keep a watch while I waited for East to stop by, he never did, apparently.
I lost my patience.
I tackled San to the ground and struck him. I couldn't stop the yelling or the actions... I felt his cheek and nose break under my fist and I still could not bring myself to keep from screaming that Aeli was going to die.I hit him so hard that I knocked him out.
People watched the fight and they didn't bother stopping me... I had to pull away and finally tilt him onto his side to let the blood drain from the wounds... As angry as I am, I couldn't let him die.
Kitty brought East to the situation and he helped to fix Shy's nose and face up a bit before a whole new conversation approached.
People are highly concerned about the Greenblades and here I am trying not to strangle someone before lunch.
The Truth.
I stumbled upon East tonight after the fiasco that happened in my life and I realized as he smiled at me, all I could do was vomit out an apology for not being there... For not taking his feelings into consideration. I asked if he was busy and he told me he was never too busy for me... So I asked if he wanted to go some place more quiet.
I hadn't been to Sholazar Basin in years, let alone tucked at the very edge of the see where the lights danced within the sky.... Yet something I've always been so fascinated in paled in comparison to what stood before me.
We spoke of promises and how we viewed relationships. I spoke of Kaar and my promise to the Phoenix who was to never return and in the end we both agreed to one thing... We would fly and stand beside each other, but we would never cage each other.
As I held him close and he clung onto me, he said he had a question for me.... When I said he could ask me anything, I didn't think he's drop Focus right on top of the conversation about how I mentioned that Gabriel fellow to him. Of all things, Darnath had made me quite clear not to talk about this situation with East until later on. That he would lock up.
When East asked about it, all I wanted to do was smack the hell out of Focus.I'd taken in his warning to heart, I had held his words in high value and respect and when East asked why I had questioned him about Gabriel, I almost felt as if I was set up for failure.
I asked if he really wanted to know, because I was informed not to say anything about it... He said he yes.
I explained why I approached Focus about the topic, that I was concerned for East's well being... I also explained to him that I had trusted Darnath and that I hadn't wanted to speak of such a thing because he said that East would lock up if we spoke on it. I confessed everything right then and there.
Much to my relief, he didn't. Still....
I honestly don't know if Focus had any ill intentions, I didn't believe that it could actually bring me even closer to the Priest I had come to realize that.... I'm in love with. Such a shaken hurdle was still jumped and still discussed in the softest of whispers.
I went to Sholazar with a dear friend and came home with my partner.
As we had returned to Silvermoon to relax, we were cut off by Broder. East said he had something to attend to so he departed, which allowed me a moment to catch up on the situation with the dragons and the Greenblades. That's a whole other journal entry that I should write, keep tabs of the information passed around.
However, I did see Pup in the meeting, poor kiddo is teething. He informed me that Aeli's not doing well and that it's likely that these triplets will be the death of her. I had to put aside my own personal feelings again to think for the better of her safety... If Kit finds out...
Zi, Sebias, Kitty and I watched over her all night, waiting for East to return and get a good inspection.... She passed out last night while I was trying to help her. We cleaned her up and have kept a watchful eye ever since then, sleeping in shifts. I don't want Kit showing up unless we know there is no other way to save her than.... Well...
It's been a long night, nothing I can do now except wait for East to arrive.
The Book.
As I was leaving my rented stay for the evening at the inn, I noticed a book downstairs that looked awfully familiar. I recognized it as the book Zi had the night before while he and I were talking. He must have accidentally left it there.
I picked it up, next time I see him, I'll drop it back off.
The Insult.
The whole night had been a complete disaster. Jack had spent far longer at a meeting with Khadgar and many other well pronounced Magister's discussing the next plans to action with the Portal situations and complications. He had every intention to surprise Gentil that night, but the moment he had stepped foot back into Silvermoon, it was the moment he met a cruel fate.
He'd been jerked around, yelled at, been told off, been told to handle a situation he was unclear of and what had been worse, is that he had a relationship drop into his lap to swallow on top of all of the drama. He could still taste the bitter tone that lingered on his lips, but more so the hurtful words that were snapped at him by his own family...
Jackary stood there to look in the mirror, staring at himself. He'd spent the gold for a room at an Inn for he needed to clean up and get himself back on track. Still, as his eyes stared into his own reflections, he couldn't even bring himself to smile.
Was he a bad person?
Aelisia's words rang through his head over and over. Her voice, her bitter tone that bit hard into his heart and ripped it apart. Just when he was accepting and moving on from Kaarasu, she had dropped his name like he was alive and standing behind him, like the man wasn't a haunting ghost within Jack's past.
She'd made her words and intentions clear. He was spending all his time thinking about Gentil and how he had 'so easily' given up on Kaarasu. The thought of such alone only boiled his blood to no end. He was close... He was close to moving on and during her small spiteful show of behaviour...
Without a second thought, his hand raised up and struck forward with sheer violence, curled knuckles crashed loudly into the reflective glass. He didn't even bother to pull his digits from the shattered mess, the swelling sting of particles of glass that bit into his skin was nothing compared to the heartache that had ahold of him.
He loved his family so much... They were his world. They kept him from who he wanted to be with, they kept him on his toes. They filled his heart with the strength he had needed for so long just to press on... And suddenly he was thrown to the wolves and stabbed with a verbal dagger.
Had she meant it? Jack didn't even know. All he could think about was a previous conversation he once held with Lokitan.
"Do you ever regret this? Regret the marking that binds us?"
"Regret it? Hn... No, I didn't used to... But when I finally found someone I wanted to spend my time with and get to know because I felt that I wanted to be in love with that person... They became out of control, fighting for my attention and in turn, they fought each other."
Was this feeling of betrayal?
Was this the feeling of regret?
Jack didn't even know, anymore.
