cookie analysis time here we go, partially for my own interp of him but also based on canon as well
so first thing: cookie's a bit of a control freak, right? he expects things to be handed to him and demands a lot out of other people, making them do or get things for him. he basically treats other people like his servants, ESPECIALLY the ydkj interns, he uses them and then often maims and/or kills them for any reason he sees fit, or for no reason at all. he has to have control over any situation hes in, everything has to go his way, or he gets upset
but why is he such a control freak?
i think it has to do with how controlling is mom was of him. she placed a lot of unfair expectations on him because she wanted her kids to be girls and for them to be feminine. i can see cookie as having tried to break away from this control and those expectations, wanting to decide things for himself, but in turn he becomes just as controlling towards other people as she was towards him
second thing: this is also part of why i see him as trans
i see him as wanting to have control over every aspect of his identity as opposed to his mom having control over it, and wanting to defy her expectations of him being a girl. this isnt to say hes not feminine in some ways, he is, but that seems to be on his own terms rather than giving in to having it be forced on him. and its a common thing for trans individuals whove had femininity or masculinity forced on them in the past to feel better and more secure about expressing those on their own terms after theyve transitioned
im also not trying to imply that defying expectations is the only reason i see cookie as trans, but it is part of it. im sure id still see him as trans even without the aspect of his mother being so controlling of him
