She had been living here all of 12 years, but there were still days when she’d be wracked with homesickness. It was times like these when she’d call one of her brothers to meet at a bar for a drink just to catch up. She had been doing quite well for herself, having a lot of lab technicians and residents to do most of her work for her. She only really needed to go to work to check on referrals or sign some papers. She smirked at her brother, shaking her head at his outrageous story. “Oh, fuck that,” she scoffed, before downing her drink. “There’s no way that’s true.”
