Looks like I'm headed out for a double-header THIS WEDNESDAY!
First -- I'm thinking... a moderate happy hour with photog, Jonathan; then head over to the posh dungeons of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall to have a little chat-time with ONLY SON's Jack Dishel, who is the supporting act for (headliner) Regina Spektor.
I'm hoping to learn more about Jack's debut album as ONLY SON, hear about his travels, and maybe talk a little trash while we reminisce about back in the day -- not sure. After some good ol' ranting with Jack, I think I'll enjoy the after-effects from my "moderate" happy hour, while enjoying ONLY SON's set -- maybe even stay for a song or two by Regina Spektor, before safely driving fast-as-hell over to Aladdin Theater to catch the end of Tennis' opening set; but, definitely in time to catch Sharon Van Etten's entrance -- I heard she's a talker, and that I'm in for a great show. As usual, it's currently creeping into the a.m. hours, and if I want to be able to enjoy WEDNESDAY NIGHT, I'd better get my ass to sleep.
