TENNIS took to the stage promptly, quickly convincing the crowd to get out of their seats and converge in front of the stage (Alaina Moore admits that seated venues aren’t their first choice, as their music clearly reflects a mission to get people dancing). SHARON VAN ETTEN headlined the set with a few close friends occupying various instruments and backing vocals (including one of Portland’s own). Between playing a hefty selection of songs picked out of nearly every point in her discography, Sharon confidently kept the crowd entranced with an amazing sense of humor that juxtaposed the emotional punchlines of a great deal of her music.
