depends on what it is. Jacket’s absentminded and sometimes very lazy; if it’s something he could forget about, he probably will, and it’ll get neglected. plants, fish, stuff like that isn’t gonna do so well in his care and he’ll feel bad about it lol.

something he really cares about though, or something he can’t forget about, Jacket can be incredibly doting and meticulous. if he had to take care of a pet that belonged to someone else - someone important to him - he would do his absolute best. a dog or cat, something capable of pestering him, he would also do pretty well taking care of. though he can be absentminded, he can also experience a great sense of responsibility.

     there are some places not even the dead go willingly, places they wouldn’t dare tread. murder scenes are one of them, but she’s not dead. she’s worse. an unyielding part of his mind, not to be stifled by gunshot wound or any thing else. yet she seems as real and as tangible as the caution tape around the entrance. he’s seen better days, but in the dim lighting of this room, don juan sits where she once did. hands placed on her lap, eyes staring at him through the mask. yet there’s waves of empathy that seem to course out from where she sits, the walls painted in a teal hue, though it really is nothing more than his mind.         ❛ you’ve woken up. ❜                      there’s feigned surprise, she knew he would; one day or another.

Fury pops a fry in his mouth and chews slowly before offering the man a grin. It’s almost scary how big his mouth can get.

“Haven’t seen you properly since the... barfight. Way I remember it, you couldn’t keep your eyes off me...” A chuckle. “What have you been up to?”

I have a serious question about Jacket's perspective on some of the newer people he's met. What does he think of them and such obviously, but does h think he'll make any new allies?

he thinks Tracey is nice so far. he’s real bewildered that she doesn’t have more friends lol. but he doesn’t feel like he knows her too well yet, either. he’s feeling nervous about their being friends because of his double life he has going on Phone Calls verse, but he’s kinda letting it happen anyway, bahaha.

his encounter with jacketspiece is going very… interestingly lmao. he’s still not sure what’s going on, but he’s really peeved he has to argue with this “hallucination”. dealing with another Jacket with his face/voice and all is reeeeaal unsettling for him.

from what little he’s seen of Tony, he really doesn’t like him. doesn’t help that Tony made a super shitty first impression pffft.

he’s barely talked to Kitty but gets some bad vibes from her LOL. so he doesn’t trust her. 

he finds Tor kind of annoying. and loud lol. but half the reason he finds Tor annoying is just ‘cause he’s still real sour about being drugged and captured. definitely doesn’t trust the guy at all, though.

Altercation

WE’VE MET BEFORE...

His brows knit slightly at the words spoken, nearly in his ear, just as his key was pushed into the door - prompting him to pause. He had been feeling alright today. And the day before. There had been no static, no insects, not even a headache to suggest what might have brought this on. Blinking, Jacket dismissed the voice and turned the key in the lock before pushing the door open.

His apartment looked normal. There was no foreboding aura, no unusual lighting, no filth that permeated every crevice. No foul odor.

Jacket couldn’t help a slight sense of unease. The beast never spoke without some reason, yet everything felt and looked to be normal. He tried to brush off the brief encounter at the door, dropping his keys on the kitchen table and then turning to pace for the living room - where he made an abrupt stop at sight of a figure there. 

And not the figure he might have expected.
