Characters: Basil, Gabe, Jensin

CW: Death mention, but...not much else? lots of Tension, discussion of smuggling / weapons talk

Summary: Gabe, exhausted after the events of the previous night falls asleep - and ends up sleeping for two days. When he wakes, he’s still disappointed in the truth about his boss but figures they need to discuss what happened, and where to go. 

Jensin fills him in on bits and pieces before Gabe finally starts asking Basil the big, important questions about his smuggling operations, and what he’s going to do from now on. Basil admits that he’s begun to cut down after discovering he was being framed and that everything is sort of up in the air, which opens it up to Gabe and Jensin sort of hinting that he has the opportunity to become a vigilante, like them. 

The relationship between Gabe and Basil is still wrought with tension, but...it’s a good sign. They might walk out of it okay.

Characters: Jensin, Basil, Polaris, Disposable NPC’s

CW: Disposable Character Death, dirt vore, gun violence, kinda gore? 

Summary: Polaris is out and about getting some hero work in when he stumbles across a major fight that’s torn up an entire street, spotting Basil and Jensin right in the middle of it. Attempting to keep his identity a secret because he knows who they are, Polaris keeps them talking and distracted, wanting to find out what happened but not wanting to be there long.

 A small scuffle breaks out in which Jensin gets shot and Basil promptly buries the men responsible for it, dragging them both back to his apartment so Jensin can heal in peace. While there, he tells Gabe everything about his double life and effectively shatters their working relationship.
