That *is* the question, isn’t it? I personally think they bonded in their youth over their hatred for their fathers, their delight in cruelty, their extreme arrogance, and the simple fact that they were basically attending ~lordling school~ together. Aerys is an artsy type who flits from project-to-project, which I think drove Tywin nuts at times, but I think their friendship was genuine.
It's totally implausible given his character, but if down the road, after his own rule was already secured and he'd already solidified his reputation as the baddest motherfucker on the block, Tywin decided to lighten up a bit, would his vassals have been more accepting than they would have when he was young?

TBH i know that the Khan has big "fuck the Dark Eldar" vibes (tho if ur gonna hate any sapient Xeno, they really are the fairest pick) but if there was any primarch that'd be chill with aliens, it'd be him. fuck, if it weren't for us knowing he participated in the Great Crusade, i'd go as far as to say that he'd tell big E to go fuck himself
I agree. Khan was a very introspective dude, and more reasonable than most of his brothers by a wide margin. He even took time to analyse the Horus Heresy before joining in. He’d be a decent Xenos ally.
